In this video that was filmed 2009Jul01, Helen Thomas rips into Secretary Gibbs of the White House. The video speaks for itself.
As to answer the question of whether Ms. Thomas grew a brain or not, the answer is clearly "no." She will always be a squalid, rancorous woman but, it is nice to see her rip into someone that's in the Obama administration for a change.
Ms. Thomas was later quoted as saying that, "even the Nixon administration didn't do this," referring to controlling questions from the press.
Watch as Gibbs quirms and tries so hard to come up with something clever to say. He fails miserably and looks like a complete ninny.
