Obama Appoints Food Czar

Michael Taylor, from Monsanto Corp, has now been appointed by Obama as the FDA czar.

Taylor is a familiar figure at the FDA. He began his career as a staff attorney at the agency in 1976. Then he worked for a decade at King & Spaulding, which represented Monsanto Corp., the agribusiness giant that developed genetically engineered corn, soybeans and bovine growth hormone.

He returned to the FDA in 1991 as deputy commissioner for policy and pushed through requirements that producers of seafood and juices adopt measures to prevent bacterial contamination. During the same period, the FDA approved Monsanto's bovine growth hormone, and Taylor was partly responsible for a controversial policy that said milk from BGH-treated cows did not have to be labeled as such.

"We are at an historic tipping point -- a moment when the forces have aligned like never before; the president, Congress, industry and the public have stepped up their support for our mission," Taylor told a gathering of FDA staff members last month.

Where's My Global Warming?

Freezing weather: Just another example of global warming?

With all the bad weather being reported, one has to question what happened to the global warming we were promised? Does the cold weather mean that our green products and recycling have already changed the course?

Unfortunately, the prophets of climate doom violate this idea. No matter what happens, it always confirms their basic premise that the world is getting hotter. The weather turns cold and wet? It's global warming, they say. Weather turns hot? Global warming. No change? Global warming. More hurricanes? Global warming. No hurricanes? You guessed it.

Nothing can disprove their thesis. Not even the extraordinarily frigid weather now creating havoc across most of the Northern Hemisphere. The Los Angeles Times, in a piece on the region's strangely wet and cold weather, paraphrases Jet Propulsion Laboratory climatologist Bill Patzert as saying, "In general, as the globe warms, weather conditions tend to be more extreme and volatile."

Proponents of global warming want distribution of wealth, given to smaller countries to help with "global warming." It's basically a bunch of socialists pushing an agenda, which is what science has become. A real scientist would be honest and admit that global warming is merely a theory and, not based on data.

Happy Holidays Everyone

I don't really celebrate Christmas, other than taking some relaxing time off but, for most everyone, they do celebrate so, I will wish everyone a Happy Holiday.

A lot of people ask me why I no longer celebrate the holiday the way I used to and, I try to explain but, I am usually met with some resistance and some eye rolling, or just a friendly nod. It's not my objective to make fun of other people's customs or traditions. I have simply come to a different conclusion on what the holiday is. I'm also not offended that people choose to celebrate!

Let me explain a few things, if the holiday is all about Jesus' birthday, then what is Santa doing there? Why doesn't the Bible instruct us on what day to celebrate, or that we are to celebrate His birthday at all? According to what I understand, there's no way Jesus was even born in December. Furthermore, aren't we supposed to celebrate the life of Jesus everyday?

There is no question that the date of the 25th comes from pagan roots, and sun worship. Santa is derived from the word Satan. All throughout the Bible, G-d makes it a point to warn us of Satan's substitutes. Anytime G-d has a rule of some sort, Satan provides an alternative. Often these alternatives seem harmless.

Look at the Sabbath. The fourth commandment is the only one that starts with the word REMEMBER. It is commanded that we keep the day of rest from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown. Satan of course provided us with a substitute of Sunday, directly lifted from pagan worship. How crazy is it that G-d's people have literally forgotten to worship on the Sabbath, when we were directly called upon to REMEMBER? Of course when I speak with anyone about Sunday worship, I am always met with the line of, "it doesn't matter what day, as long as you set aside a day for G-d." Of course they can't explain why if it truly doesn't matter, G-d would have put that in the commandment.

Again, it's just a simple substitution for what G-d commanded and it appears to be almost harmless. Similar to the Garden of Eden, Satan offered Eve the apple from that one tree. It probably looked like all the others; what could be so wrong? After all, all the other trees they could eat from. Satan immediately gave away his strategy from the very beginning -- provide substitutes for G-d's laws. Of course that "almost harmless" apple is what began the fall of mankind so, you see, maybe there is something to these substitutes. They aren't as benign as many imagine them to be.

Earlier I said that Santa is Satan; Santa is actually a substitute for Jesus. Let's think about it like this. Little children everywhere are told that he exists and that they are going to receive goodies and presents from him. You have to be good and not naughty because, he's got this big list where he keeps track of everything you do. He knows when you're sleeping, when you're awake, and he knows everything about you. He comes into everyone's house as if he's omnipresent. The worst part is, later, you find out the guy doesn't even exist. It's like making a mockery of everything.

See, only Jesus can give you the gifts you need and only HE can watch what you are doing. He is the one you should speak with and, He is REAL. Telling children that Santa exists, knowing that later you will have to tell them the truth is a subtle way of telling your kids it's okay to lie. Now, you might not believe that to be true. You might argue with me and say that there are lots of things we might lie to our children about and, you may have a point but, protecting your children from something and knowingly lying are two different things I believe, and again, this is all MY opinion. I will not be telling my daughter there is a foolish fat man that comes down the chimney to give presents. That whole thing is perverted anyway-- going to sit on some strangers lap and telling them all the things you want.

Everyone talks about the holiday cheer and, they say, "Ya know, Tuesday, it's a blessed time and people get together and do things. You don't have to be so down on all that. It's not all about this stuff and Santa is fun! You liked Santa as a kid." Actually, I had a traumatic experience with a "Santa" when I was a kid.

I was about 6 years old and I grew up in a pretty small house. My bedroom was to the back of the house. On Christmas Eve, I was extremely excited because, I knew Santa was coming and I was going to get a bunch of presents. So, it was about midnight and there was a knock on my window. So, I go over to the window and open the drapes and it's Santa! Wow, I was so excited. I was waving and he was waving and then, I just ran to get my parents because, after all, we didn't have a chimney and they needed to let him in through the front door. My parents were, confused and, trying to keep their "Santa is real" demeanor but, my dad got up and went outside. Later, I would find out that he actually heard someone in the snow run. Footprints were found all the way up to my window.

So, that year I learned all about the truth concerning "SANTA." I'm still freaked about that whole thing happening. The truth about holiday cheer is nonsense. Crime rates, murder rates, ect. rapidly increase during the holiday season. I don't know the exact statistics but, I have heard more people go into the hospital during this time as well. Families go far into dept, stress is increased, mobs flood stores and people literally have DIED from being trampled to death by shopping mobs! That's the Christmas spirit?

Oh, sure, we always see people talking about Jesus but, everything about this holiday is centered around the pagan traditions. Everything.

I do wish everyone a great holiday. I wish everyone a great day, EVERYDAY. I would just ask that if you really want this day to be about Jesus, then give your gifts and love to HIM ONLY. Don't allow yourself to do destructive things to yourself or your family.

Michael Savage Files Lawsuit Against TRN

Conservative radio talk show host Michael Savage has filed a lawsuit against his syndicator Talk Radio Network, claiming TRN is attempting to force him into “indentured servitude.”

According to court papers, the proposed Savage network would have links to the RightNetwork, an on-demand video service backed by actor Kelsey Grammer and sports and media mogul Ed Snider. Savage’s contract with Pattiz offers him 1 percent of the equity in the fledgling network.

TRN has the right to match an outside offer and has attempted to do so, but Savage asserts in his suit filed Monday that TRN’s proposal falls short of the offer from Courtside Radio. For example, he argues that TRN can’t match the stock equity offer proffered by RightNetwork.

Savage’s suit filed in federal court in the Northern District of California states: “Through the use of illegal and unenforceable contract provisions . . . and other strong-arm tactics designed to intimidate Dr. Savage, TRN is attempting to force Dr. Savage into accepting a sub-standard agreement containing what can only be described as an indentured servitude provision.”

The suit claims the TRN offer falls short financially and contains anticompetitive provisions that limit Savage’s negotiating rights and other terms not in the Courtside proposal.

The lawsuit also maintains that Savage’s show — which currently reaches about 8 million listeners a week — would receive “greater publicity” by moving to Westwood One’s Courtside Radio, and charges that TRN is attempting to “force him into an arbitration that wholly ignores his due process rights.”

Savage seeks a declaration that TRN failed to match Courtside’s offer and that an arbitration provisions in his TRN contract is illegal and unenforceable.

Without a favorable court ruling, Savage’s suit states, he faces the “significant risk of losing the Courtside opportunity, which is valued at several million dollars, and being forced to submit into an illegal arbitration.”

TRN’s President and CEO Mark Masters said: “Michael’s lawsuit against us is unjustified and frivolous” and “we are 100 percent confident that the courts will justify our position.”

Talkers magazine reports that Savage is the third-most listened to radio host in the nation behind Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, and his show is currently aired on more than 300 stations across the nation.

I love Savage but, this lawsuit sounds somewhat odd but, I guess we'll have to wait and see. Any legal experts that would like to give their opinion? 

I do love the fact that they did put that Savage is number 3 and it's NOT Glenn Beck! Beck always says he's number 3 but, he's not and he really never has been. I love Beck too but, he's wrong on this point.

 

Judge Stefan Underhill Rules Illegals Can Sue

A liberal federal judge appointed by Bill Clinton ruled that illegal aliens can sue US immigration agents for abuse.

Judge Stefan Underhill, from Connecticut, has ruled that illegal immigrants can sue for damages since it appears their constitutional rights were violated during their apprehension.

Umm...what constitutional rights? I thought they were illegals? Of course this is a Clinton appointee that ruled on this. 

In 2007, about 30 arrests of Mexicans were made. More than half of them were charged with being in this country illegally. So, now they are suing because of mistreatment or something. They are claiming because of their race, they were targeted.

With the help of their advocate pro bono attorneys, illegal aliens have also sued an Ohio sheriff deputy who helped deport a Mexican with false identification cards, a Maryland officer who arrested an illegal Salvadoran and a southern California city (Costa Mesa) for banning them from seeking work on public streets. The lawsuit actually stems from the arrest by local police of a dozen illegal alien day laborers who violated the city’s anti-solicitation ordinance.

How is it okay for illegals to take up our court resources now? This costs money and time that we simply do not have. We have problems dealing with our own citizens moving through the court system and, now they want to add illegals to the mix?

This is what is depleting us. These types of decisions are burying us in monstrous debt. Illegals not only bring us down but, their status is not helpful to them either. These types of judgments are only further creating a division in this country.

Michael Moore Insulting the Country Again - Supporting Assange

Michael Moore is one of those characters in American politics that whenever you see, you have to question, just how in the hell someone like this got to be so successful? Another question that comes to my mind is-- why does anyone listen to this big wind bag?

It is clear that Moore's logical skills are not beyond that of 2nd grader, as he tries his best to repeat the lie that we purposefully went to war, and our government lied to us. He then blubbers on about his "truth" in his "documentary" film Fahrenheit 9/11. I am wondering if he can please explain why he looped the film to make it look like Bush was just sitting for much more time than he actually did after hearing about the first plane? If it was all about truth, perhaps he could explain why his documentary is filled with lies? That is just ONE example. The movie has been debunked over and over again and, the fact that anyone would take this man seriously just goes to show to the lack of intelligence amongst the common liberal that takes the time to listen and applaud this man for working so hard to be a liar and propagandist.

I'm wondering if he also supports the leaks concerning Assange's court case? Rachel didn't ask him about that, I noticed. It would have been fun to see him twist in the wind and try to rationalize his thoughts, since they lack reason in the first place.

The People "Protecting" Us

I put the word protecting in quotations because, after watching this video, I can honestly say I'm a little frightened out of my mind. I knew the Obama administration was a failure but, I guess I thought maybe they were not so much of a failure. No such luck.

You will really have to watch for yourself. I just have no words to describe this embarrassment.

Sometimes I put up fake headlines, just to mix things up a bit but, this title is actually true. Documents were leaked concerning the current charges against Assange and, he is mad about it.

So, let me get this straight, it's not okay to leak information about Assange, because it could effect his trial but, it's okay to leak top secret, stolen documents from governments?

Ugh, I'm confused.

JULIAN Assange, the man behind WikiLeaks, today launched a wide ranging series of attacks on both his enemies and allies as he defended his public and private conduct.

In his first UK newspaper interview since releasing hundreds of secret diplomatic cables last month, Mr Assange told The Times he predicts the US will face reprisals if it attempts to extradite him on conspiracy charges.

He accused his media partners at The Guardian newspaper, which worked with him to make the embarrassing leaks public, of unfairly tarnishing him by revealing damaging details of the sex assault allegations he faces in Sweden.

Speaking from the English mansion where he is confined on bail, the 39-year-old Australian said that the decision to publish incriminating police files about him was "disgusting". The Guardian had previously used him as its source for hundreds of leaked US embassy cables.

Mr Assange is understood to be particularly angry with a senior reporter at the paper and former friend for "selectively publishing" incriminating sections of the police report, although The Guardian made clear that the WikiLeaks founder was given several days to respond.

Mr Assange claimed the newspaper received leaked documents from Swedish authorities or "other intelligence agencies" intent on jeopardising his defence.

"The leak was clearly designed to undermine my bail application," he said. "Someone in authority clearly intended to keep Julian in prison."

Katie Couric and Condoleezza Rice

Those of you that have known me long enough, know that I hold Katie Couric in a very special place in my black heart. This woman knows how to drive me absolutely insane with rage, by simply appearing on tv. Her left bias is typical, most conservatives are accepting of the liberal slant that comes with all the alphabet channels but, Katie has her very own snarky, nasty, adolescent view of the world, that is a brand all her own.

When Katie is interviewing someone from the opposing side, she actually believes the viewer will think she is fair and unbiased, while consistently delivering her snide, condescending tone. Some people see Katie as a woman's voice in the news, someone they are proud to watch, and then there's the other part of the population, that is not incarcerated or in a mental ward, that see her for the fraud she truly is.

Perhaps if Katie just came out and said she was not a journalist, that she was just a commentator, I might have a tiny bit of respect for her. Instead her approach to journalistic reporting is questioning people, and looking for a "gotcha moment" that will put her back into the spotlight.

I almost feel sorry for Katie when she is interviewing someone that has much more intellectual power. Let's watch her struggle, just for fun. This video is from 3 years ago, I believe. Watch her try her best to get Condoleeza Rice in a "gotcha moment" and fail miserably.

I'd like to personally thank Condolezza (because, I know she totally reads my blog, right?), for articulating this viewpoint so well. Like many typical liberals, Katie struggles so hard to "get it." She is so narrow-minded and, fixated on the silly, "Bush lied, people died" mantra, that she can't figure out that it couldn't be further from the truth. This interview is a complete embarrassment for Katie. Too bad she probably will never learn. 

Chevez Likes Government Control Over the Internet

Oh, well if Hugo Chavez is for it, shouldn't we all be? This is getting more disturbing.

Chavez's congressional allies are considering extending the "Social Responsibility Law" for broadcast media to the Internet, banning messages that "disrespect public authorities," "incite or promote hatred" or crimes, or are aimed at creating "anxiety" in the population.

Government opponents and press freedom groups have been critical of the plan, saying it is one of several measures being considered that could restrict freedoms in Venezuela.

"We aren't eliminating the Internet here ... nor censoring the Internet," Chavez said during his weekly television and radio program, "Hello, President." "What we're doing is protecting ourselves against crimes, cybercrimes, through a law."

Disrespecting public authorities? That could be anything! If you criticize an opinion of an authoritative figure, that could very well be banned.  These terms are so broad, making it open-game to shut anyone down with an opposing opinion. How is that NOT getting rid of the internet?

Taking Over the Internet

As if we need more government regulations and people telling us what we can and cannot say. The FCC is now determined to set forth rules for the internet.

How did the FCC get here?

For years, proponents of so-called "net neutrality" have been calling for strong regulation of broadband "on-ramps" to the Internet, like those provided by your local cable or phone companies. Rules are needed, the argument goes, to ensure that the Internet remains open and free, and to discourage broadband providers from thwarting consumer demand. That sounds good if you say it fast.

Nothing is broken and needs fixing, however. The Internet has been open and freedom-enhancing since it was spun off from a government research project in the early 1990s. Its nature as a diffuse and dynamic global network of networks defies top-down authority. Ample laws to protect consumers already exist.

Furthermore, the Obama Justice Department and the European Commission both decided this year that net-neutrality regulation was unnecessary and might deter investment in next-generation Internet technology and infrastructure.

Gay Ban Repealed

While President Barack Obama this week is expected to clear the way for gays to serve openly in the military, the new law won't go into effect immediately and unanswered questions remain: How soon will the new policy be implemented, will it be accepted by the troops and could it hamper the military in Afghanistan and Iraq?


The historic action by Congress repeals the requirement, known as "don't ask, don't tell," that for the last 17 years has allowed gays and lesbians to serve, but only if they kept quiet about their sexual orientation. Ending that policy has been compared in its social implications to President Harry S. Truman's 1948 executive order that brought racial equality to the military.

Okay, so I have a friend on Facebook, that I've known for years. I love her dearly but, her status was something to effect that people who think it's not okay to serve openly need to "get a life," it's okay that we ask them to die for us but, it's not okay they serve openly, Jesus says to be nice, ect. You get the idea.

That sort of statement is easy, isn't it? It's really easy to say that others need to get a life but, what I want to know is, why is this an issue? According to The Urban Institute, it is estimated that 2.8 percent of men and women serving in the military are gay/lesbian. 2.8 percent. This is pretty much equivalent to the amount of gays in the general population. (Depending on your source, it's estimated at 2-5 percent). Can someone tell me why 2.8 percent is so important that it has to force their ideas and disrupt the whole?

The military is known for their strong support of families and their proper structure. Gay people wouldn't be here if there wasn't a man and a women involved in their creation. No matter what you think of gays or lesbians, from a strictly scientific observation- biology dictates that it is not a desirable condition for the human species. Humans procreate through heterosexual sex. That's not something mean or evil to say; it's just the truth.

I want to know --why don't these other people get a life? We're talking about 2.8 percent of people. Many of these people are not on the front lines. They are working behind a desk, and going to school. The people on the front lines have already weighed in. They don't want gays openly serving. Shouldn't it be up to those who it effects the most to determine this policy? Why are we worried about the smallest of the smallest minority pushing something that many folks see as incredibly immoral?

Now, I'm not trying to belittle anyone's service. I'm simply pointing out that the jobs many of them do are not those where this policy would cause much of a disruption. However, the policy does effect the whole.

So, logically you will say, "Well, if gays are not mostly on the front lines, where you claim it will effect the most, then this policy will not cause much of an overall effect, like you are claiming."

To which I will respond that, I did not claim gays do not serve on the front lines, I am saying that from what we KNOW (which we don't know everything yet because they are not openly serving), gays MOSTLY serve in positions that are not in areas where this policy will have the most effect but, the areas that gays ARE serving in where it will have an effect, it will disrupt the whole-- there will be a disturbance.

Again, many military families are traditional. This comes from deep-rooted Christian values. Let us look at military housing. This is housing that is all located in one area, where everyone around is serving in the military. Children of military members grow up in these areas. We are now going to be asking families to have to deal with explaining alternative lifestyles to their children. How are they supposed to instill their moral values, while at the same time telling their children that the government supports homosexuality? Many of these people joined the military to get away from the PC climate that currently shadows our country. Now, there will be almost nowhere for anyone to run and be in a conservative, traditional community.

Why can't these 2.8 percent of people understand that it's not all about them and their need to announce their sexual identity? There are people in this world who believe that it is a sin to be gay, and that it is immoral. You cannot disregard their beliefs because, 2.8 percent of people have a problem with it. Why is it the minority is so desperate in ignoring the reality of so many things, in order to push what they think sounds good or, feels good?

Yes, I think we all can agree that it's truly easy to look at this and just say, "Oh, please, get a life, it's not a big deal." On one hand, I can understand that sentiment. However, like most things, when you dig deep, start asking real probing questions, truly understand the effects of various acts, and remain honest about the reality of situations, you have to come to the conclusion that many times it can be a "big deal."

Assange Fears US Indictment

BUNGAY, England – The founder of WikiLeaks said Friday he fears the United States is preparing to indict him, but insisted that the government secret-spilling site would continue its work despite what he calls a dirty tricks campaign against him.

Julian Assange spoke from snowbound Ellingham Hall, a supporter's 10-bedroom country mansion where he is confined on bail as he fights Sweden's attempt to extradite him on allegations of rape and molestation.

He insisted to television interviewers that he was being subjected to a smear campaign and "what appears to be a secret grand jury investigation against me or our organization."

Attorney General Eric Holder has said repeatedly a criminal investigation of the WikiLeaks' continuing release of some 250,000 secret U.S. State Department cables is under way and that anyone found to have broken the law will be held accountable.

The Justice Department has provided no other public comment on who is under investigation or its legal strategy.

UN Wants to Regulate Internet

The UN now wants to have regulations on the internet. I'm so glad this useless body of filth decided to chime in and give their idiotic opinion.

The United Nations is considering whether to set up an inter-governmental working group to harmonise global efforts by policy makers to regulate the internet.


Establishment of such a group has the backing of several countries, spearheaded by Brazil.

At a meeting in New York on Wednesday, representatives from Brazil called for an international body made up of Government representatives that would to attempt to create global standards for policing the internet - specifically in reaction to challenges such as WikiLeaks.

The Brazilian delegate stressed, however, that this should not be seen as a call for an "takeover" of the internet.

India, South Africa, China and Saudi Arabia appeared to favour a new possible over-arching inter-government body.

However, Australia, US, UK, Belgium and Canada and attending business and community representatives argued there were risks in forming yet another working group that might isolate itself from the industry, community users and the general public.

"My concern is that if we were to make a move to form a governmental-only body then that would send a very strong signal to civil society that their valuable contribution was not required or was not being looked for," an un-named Australian representative told the meeting.

Tomorrow night television history will be made. One of the legends of the small screen will be broadcast live at precisely the moment that his trousers fall down.

At least that's what will happen metaphorically. Larry King will hang up his famous braces.

For 25 years, night after night, Larry King Live has been a pillar of American culture, as comforting and dependable as Mickey Mouse and Hershey. But even cultural pillars can grow structurally unsound; in the case of King some would say that happened years ago.

CNN are being tight-lipped about the guests for the final show, which goes out at 9pm [eastern time], revealing only the names of fellow TV hosts Ryan Seacrest and Bill Maher while withholding those of the 14 other participants.

Some of the unidentified personalities will be politicians, CNN says. Which raises the possibility that Mario Cuomo will be among them — a pleasing touch were it to happen as Cuomo, then New York governor, was King's very first guest on 1 June 1985.

It also holds out the possibility of King being rejoined by Ross Perot, who helped put Larry King Live on the map in 1992 when he declared on the show that he was running for the presidency. There again Al Gore might also be in attendance: the debate between him and Perot in 1993 was arguably the show's finest hour – transfixing a nation and attracting 20 million viewers.

For media watchers like Mark Feldstein, a former CNN correspondent, now journalism professor at George Washington University, such TV events were a boon to the network as it set out as the first 24-hour news operation.

Of course, Janet Napolitano has said our border is protected. The government continues its lawsuit against AZ, for their new immigration law.

These bandits from Mexico specifically target illegal immigrants traveling across the border for sexual assault and robbery while battling coyotes/human traffickers over drug loads and control of illegal immigrants. (Where are the human rights groups?) 

Although Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says the border is as secure as ever, the United States has seen a large increase in border violence in the past year.

Palestinians Ask Europe To Recognize Them As a State

Palestinians have now asked for Europe to recognize them as a state, 1967 borders.

Wow, do these folks have a lot of nerve or what?

Palestinian officials said Thursday that they had asked the consuls general of France, Britain, Sweden and Denmark as well as the European Union envoy to the peace process to recognize the 1967 borders between Israel and "Palestine."

The EU has said it will recognize a Palestinian state "when appropriate," but that negotiations are the only way to peace.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and the seven member ministerial forum known as the 'Septet' were set to meet Thursday morning to discuss the return to indirect proximity peace talks between Israel and the PA proposed by US Middle East envoy George Mitchell.

Dems Move to Push For Last-Minute Spending

A Saturday vote is in the works, as Democrats push for a last minute, ditch effort, to pass $1.1 trillion in spending before the beginning of the year, when they lose their power.

Senate Republicans blasted the bill as a crude Democratic attempt to push through funding for pet projects known as earmarks before the new year, when Republicans will wield greater clout in Washington.

Republicans also objected to the $8.3 billion worth of pet spending projects tucked into the bill, even though they personally requested many of the earmarks. Many voters view earmarks as a prime example of wasteful government spending, and Republicans vowed to renounce them after winning big in the Nov. 2 congressional elections.

"We will reject any earmarks requested by us or anyone else because that's what the American people have said they want," said Republican Senator John Cornyn.

These people aren't fooling anyone. The bill will most likely pass. They all just want to put on a dog and pony show.

Assange is still being held in Britain because, even though he was granted bail. Sweden will appeal the decision and, they are waiting to complete the appeal process.

Senate Wants to Rush Through $1.1 Trillion Spending Bill

1,924-page bill includes $1.1 trillion is spending, the democrats are ready to push through.

The package drew a swift rebuke from Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee.

"The attempt by Democrat leadership to rush through a nearly 2,000-page spending bill in the final days of the lame-duck session ignores the clear will expressed by the voters this past election," Thune said in a statement. "This bill is loaded up with pork projects and should not get a vote. Congress should listen to the American people and stop this reckless spending.”

Despite the earmarks in the bill, it looks like most the Republicans have no problem voting for the bill.

Isn't that the problem in this country? Is there anyone in government that is fiscal?

It is finally becoming more and more apparent that Pelosi isn't qualified to deliver a pizza to a person's home, let alone be speaker of the House.

When asked a direct question about that Constitution - “Madam Speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?" Pelosi is so caught off-guard that her only response is, "Are you serious? Are you serious?"




The reporter was most definitely serious, as are the American people.

Pelosi and the democrats are citing that the Constitution allows for Congress to regulate interstate commerce.

Okay, so, how is insurance considered commerce?

The Commerce Clause is an enumerated power listed in the United States Constitution (Article I, Section 8, Clause 3). The clause states that the United States Congress shall have power "To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes".

It states that they have to power to regulate commerce.

Obama Thinks Americans Will Support Him

In his recent criticisms from fellow democrats, Obama promises to fight the Republicans on other issues, come next year.

"I will be happy to see the Republicans test whether or not I'm itching for a fight on a whole range of issues," Obama said last week. "I suspect they will find I am. And I think the American people will be on my side on a whole bunch of these fights."

He thinks the American people will be on his side?  Well, that sounds really promising. I guess this whole tax compromise was about moving to the center, only to later run left again.

On the Republican side of this issue:

Republicans are also sharpening their weapons, saying that raising anyone's taxes in a bad economy is a bad idea.

Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., a key member of the new House Republican majority, said yesterday on Fox News Sunday that his party will produce a package of spending cuts next year.

"We are not interested in raising taxes," Ryan said. "We're going to come out of the gates going after spending ... spending cuts, spending controls, reforms of the structure of spending."

Virginia Judge - Obamacare Unconstitutional

 Obamacare Unconstitutional. That is the verdict from U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson, a judge in Virginia. 
 

"This dispute is not simply about regulating the business of insurance -- or crafting a scheme of universal health insurance coverage -- it's about an individual's right to choose to participate," Hudson wrote.

But he declined to invalidate the entire healthcare law, a small victory for Obama.

Of course, it is expected that the administration will appeal and, this tab is sure to be on the American people. Good old Obama doesn't really much care about the Constitution or what Americans want, at least when it comes to this bill.

Officials said the administration will continue implementing the rest of the law while it works through the legal questions of the individual mandate. Virginia had requested an injunction to block implementation of the entire law, but Hudson did not grant it.

A fresh look at the Mona Lisa is believed to have discovered that her eyes contain letters and numbers. It is believed that these were most definitely placed their by Leonardo da Vinci.

Hidden in the dark paint of her pupils are tiny letters and numbers, placed there by the artist Leonardo da Vinci and revealed only now thanks to high-­magnification techniques.

‘In the right eye appear to be the letters LV which could well stand for his name, Leonardo da Vinci, while in the left eye there are also symbols but they are not as defined.

‘It is very difficult to make them out clearly but they appear to be the letters CE, or it could be the letter B.

‘In the arch of the bridge in the background the number 72 can be seen or it could be an L and the number 2.

‘You have to remember the ­picture is almost 500 years old so it is not as sharp and clear as when first painted.

‘From the preliminary investigations we have carried out we are confident they are not a mistake and were put there by the artist.’

Obama Moves To The Center - Liberals Implode

It appears as though Obama has moved towards the center by arguing for Bush tax-cuts and, asking Clinton to help provide a case for his decision to work with Republicans concerning taxes.

So what's really going on here? Has Obama fundamentally changed? Is he waking up and realizing that taxing people to death - literally, will cripple the economy further? Or, is he simply looking to move to the center, to throw moderates and conservatives a bone, in order to try and secure his re-election?

Arrests Made Concerning Attack On US Troops Sunday

Sunday marked the deadliest blast in Afghanistan, on coalition troops, this month. Six troops were killed in  suicide attack that involved a minibus exploding.

"Individuals believed to be involved in yesterday's attack have been arrested by Afghan and coalition forces," Blotz said at a news conference, adding that no shots were fired as the suspects were taken into custody.

NATO has declined to identify the victims' nationalities. But an Afghan army official in southern Afghanistan said on Monday that the six were Americans. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak about NATO casualties.

Afghan officials said Sunday's suicide attack took place in Kandahar's Zhari district, where Mullah Mohammad Omar organized the Taliban in the early 1990s. Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi claimed responsibility for the blast, saying the insurgent group was retaliating for attacks on its fighters in the area in recent months.

John Boehner: Obama Disrespectful

John Boehner takes offense at the president for accusing him of taking taxpayers hostage.

Boehner is a little ticked off about Obama recently calling him a hostage-taker, in order to ensure tax-cuts for th rich.

In an interview with Leslie Stahl of “60 Minutes” for broadcast Sunday night on CBS, Boehner said Obama showed him “disrespect” by calling him a hostage-taker.

“Excuse me, Mr. President I thought the election was over,” Boehner said, according to a transcript obtained by POLITICO. “You know, you get a lot of that heated rhetoric during an election. But now it's time to govern.”

No Judgments

It never fails that every time I visit a liberal blog or website, the words "intolerant," "judgmental," and "conservative" are always lumped together. I am usually amused by the irony since, their very statement is one of judgment.

It's almost as if liberals are blinded by inherent bias that presents itself in everything anyone does. I once had a history professor hold up two ancient writings. Both writings were about a particular domain in Asia. One was written by a king/ruler, at the time. The other was written about this same domain, only by a traveler (I really wish I could remember the specifics here), then she said, "Which writing is more biased?" She actually expected an answer -- the ruler. More biased? She apparently didn't have her logical skills developed far enough to realize that both of these writings contain an equal amount of bias, with different conclusions. Different conclusions do not equal more or less bias, they simply mean equal bias from different skill sets of judgment. 

If I state that something has bias, I am making an educated judgment. If I state something doesn't have bias, I am still making a judgment, just a limited one that lacks facts and critical thinking.  This is how liberals think. They make plenty of judgments but, because they lack critical thinking skills, they fail to realize that the very things they are saying are not at all about being tolerant or, "open-minded" (my personal favorite catch phrase), but rather, they are demonstrating only that they make intolerant, ignorant judgments. 

So what happens when we, as social creatures, are faced with others in our lives who are clearly headed down the wrong path in life? Is it best to make ourselves feel comfortable, by not saying anything? Or, is it better to risk the person being mad at us, and letting them know that the things they are doing are immoral and wrong, yet still offering support? This is a dilemma we have all faced. I have met women who have made a total mess of their lives. One woman I met had 7 kids with 6 fathers, on welfare, no goals, no vision of the future, other than living in squalor all of her life, and all she did was complain about how tough life is, with no consideration that she herself created her mess, and will continue to leave disasters around herself until she takes full control over her life.

There it is. It's so clear to me but, if  I say something, I'm a judgmental jerk, I'm considered closed-minded, intolerant, or maybe I'm a racist.

It is because, it's easier for us to just nod our heads, give our support, tell them things like "you go girl!" that liberal-theory is so dominate in today's culture. It is much more difficult to tell someone, "Hey, I realize you're upset about life but, you need to stop doing this to yourself. You're negative, you're inviting further negativity into your life, and you will continue to make bad decisions until you take full responsibility."

Let me pause here because, I used to be this person. In some ways, I still have some bad habits and, no one is perfect but, knowing that I am in control, knowing that I can change, when I look around and things are not good, that helps me stop and take a different path.

Yes, conservatives are most definitely judgmental. We admit our judgments but, unlike our liberal counterparts, our judgments come from love and truth, rather than just making it easy for ourselves by not confronting others concerning their behaviors. Our judgments come from experience in life. Are they always right? Honestly, no. Sometimes we have to adjust how we think. Sometimes we are wrong too but, isn't it better to make a decision based on a desire to travel a moral path, rather than wondering around without a clue, going down any path, creating disasters at every turn?

Liberals want freedom to do all sorts of things that have been proven time and time again to be harmful to themselves and others. They somehow think that doing these things will give different results for some but, they rarely ever do. The other problem is, these various things effect everyone around them. Sure, it's one thing to be an idiot but, when you are effecting the lives of your children and your spouse, and others around you, why would you be so shocked and dismayed when someone comes along and says, "Hey, what you're doing isn't right!"? Instead of being grateful, many turn to the usual playground insults to shut others up and, we are right back to being called, "judgmental."

If my two year old is grabbing for a knife, I will quickly make a judgment that a knife is not appropriate for a two year old to be in contact with. I will immediately grab that knife from her because, it is my job; I am her keeper (as I am my brothers and sisters in Christ). She will cry and get upset but, I am not taking the knife away from her because, I'm intolerant or, closed minded. I am taking it because, I KNOW it's wrong, I've made an educated judgment and, yes, it probably would be easier for me to not take the knife because, I'm going to have to hear here whine and cry and throw an absolute fit because, I took something away from her she wanted. However, she will probably only later whine and cry after she hurts herself and, rightly blames me for not taking the knife away sooner.

Yes, if you feel that is a simplification of complex things, you're right but, please understand, conservatives usually see everything this clearly. Why? It is because we've practiced our judgmental skills and the more we practice, like with everything, the easier it is, the clearer things become.

At the core of a true conservative is someone who is filled with a soul of love and positive energy. We are much happier, I've noticed. There's a spirit inside of us that never dies. We are fighters and, we enjoy life. We also know that part of living includes learning to make positive judgments. This is a skill that you need in life, not something that should be ignored, because it feels uncomfortable. Strong skills of judgment allow us to overcome life's problems.
