On The View, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, complained about not having to present her ID to vote.
Sherri Shepherd interjected that people do need to present identification in order to register to vote, but often not actually at the polls. She also offered the historical perspective that asking for several pieces of I.D. at polling places has been used as a means to prevent African-Americans and Latinos from voting in decades past. Elisabeth didn't seem too receptive to this argument. "I think they should have everyone show I.D.," she replied, raising her voice steadily until Barbara Walters had to let out a "Shhhh" to calm everyone down.
Oh, it's always about the blacks. Ugh. I swear, all these people who talk about racism are the biggest racists ever. It's disgusting. How is asking EVERYONE for an ID racist? Isn't it time we stop worrying about race, and start treating people equally?
