Representative Heath Shuler, is part of the democrat's resistance to Pelosi. Asking Pelosi to step aside and then, fighting for minority leader when Pelosi refused, is what has put Shuler in the spotlight recently.
It does not appear he will have to numbers to topple her. Pelosi is expected to take the minority seat.
