That is just horrible.

I don't know, I'm thinking that school rules should already include those that deter children from acting like bullies to other kids already? What's going on here that they need more rules?
If it's just name-calling, I'm sorry but, kids should suck it up and deal with it. We all got called names growing up and, I'm afraid that name calling doesn't stop when you get out of school either.

I agree Tuesday. I think that schools have enough to do with their limited budgets in teaching our children. It should be the parents that teach their kids to learn to deal with these issues. Legislating this takes away from the actual teaching that these instructors have to do daily. Making rules is just a bit much, including a commission of 10 people to just make up things that should go without saying.
Now, if children ARE being bullied, I think that it should be told to children that it is okay to go to a teacher and let them deal with it so the bullying does not escalate. A note sent home so parents DO get involved with their childrens discipline.
Finally, to me, it should be obvious that we need to keep the school out of basic bullying and only get involved in the most serious of issues.
