Kissing Benetton Ad Stirs Up Vatican

An image of Ahmed Mohamed el-Tayeb kissing the pope is featured in the latest Benetton ad that is causing quite a stir.

Benetton has since removed the image after complaints from the Vatican, who plans to take legal action.

A statement from the Vatican said the ad was “damaging to not only to dignity of the Pope and the Catholic Church but also to the feelings of believers.”

Their feelings? Wow.

 Other ads in the same campaign feature other world leaders.
