The Verdict Is In -- Jodi Arias Is Guilty

Wednesday, the verdict day finally arrived. Those of us that have been following the trial have anxiously awaited the verdict. Many of us had either prayed and chatted on Facebook expressing our hope for a guilty verdict. For me, and I think many others, this was more than Jodi being found guilty. This was about our ultimate faith the American Justice System. After the acquittal Casey Anthony many Americans had lost all faith in juries. My goodness. What kind of a jury could be so idiotic to think that a woman who knows her daughter is dead, then goes out and parties for 30 days, gets a tattoo, doesn't report anything to the authorities, and carries on with her life like nothing happened while continuing to lie, lie, and lie some more did not kill her daughter? Unbelievable, inexcusable stupidity was expressed by that jury when they let her walk. That particular case sucked the life out of me. I remember being pregnant when I had heard that poor Caylee went missing and her mother didn't even care. No emotions of sadness. Casey merely became mad because she was in jail and HER life had been taken away, no concern over her daughter's life whatsoever.

It turns out that right around the same time, Jodi Arias was being arrested for her heinous crime and once again we see another woman who is an obvious sociopath and pathological liar, lying any way she can to protect herself. No emotion, other than Jodi crying about herself. Just like Casey, Jodi simply refuses to deal in the world of reality. We all know that she lied and she continues to lie yet for whatever reason, Jodi seems to think this is acceptable behavior. In fact, the more she lies, the more she believes her own words. I guess what she doesn't realize is that because she has lied so much, she is constantly tripping over her words. She simply cannot keep her story straight.

Jodi was found guilty of first degree murder. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the jury did the right thing here. Let's face it, having a star prosecutor like Juan Martinez did not hurt! He had confidence in this trial from day one and that stemmed directly from knowing this case inside and out. His sharp mind and clear communication skills clearly assisted the jury in cutting through the bull and name calling and get down the facts of the case. Jodi killed Travis and it wasn't an accident; it wasn't because two people came in to attack him; it wasn't because Jodi wasn't there; it was a direct result of Jodi planning and executing a murder. She stole a gun from her grandparents' home; she rented a car, borrowed gas cans and purchased one, she even planned a "cover-trip" where she would claim to be going to Utah while having every intention of going to Mesa first. She was able to convince Travis to get himself into the most vulnerable position in order to carry out her murderous deed. There he was, in front of her, sitting down in a shower, wet, and fully exposed and there she was, a camera in one hand, a knife in the other. She thought it would be quick. She figured she could stab him to death and then wash everything away. She thought wrong. Instead the scene became saturated with horror, blood everywhere, and no time to fully clean up. She didn't anticipate Travis fighting for his life, nor had she ever witnessed a person die.

Jodi's lies do all have one theme in common -- she is a hero. She loves to indulge inside of the idea that she is a savior of some sort. She is a narcissist at her core and this is why after the court issued their verdict she ran immediately to a journalist in the news to do an interview.

First of all, I couldn't help but notice how much Jodi goes on about no premeditation. "I can see where it might look that way..." Ugh...yeah, we've heard those very same words come out of your mouth before Jodi and that was when you were blaming two masked people for the murder. She protests too much for it not be true.

Once again, it's all about Jodi. She now believes she is being persecuted? Could Jodi actually be comparing herself to the Lord Jesus, because that's what it's sounding like? She wanted a plea, not because she knows she's guilty but just because she wanted to avoid having bad things come out about Travis. Oh, how nice of her, Jodi the hero! Seriously she is the only person who thinks this nonsense (well, not the only -- I'll get to her loony followers in a minute). She can't look at Travis' siblings because they look like the man that "abused" her? Oh cry me a river. Abused my be-hind! Women who are forced to kill in self defense run to the police afterwards. Sorry, Jodi, the only person you are fooling is yourself and apparently some other sociopaths.

There is a website where all of the 10 people who actually believe Jodi go to congregate and opine on the trial.  I have wandered over "there" from time to time trying to understand what on earth it is that is so difficult for them to understand? Well, there is nothing posted there that is less than stunning. For the entire trial they have stated that the jury will only be deciding between acquittal or manslaughter (I'm not kidding). It's an exercise of the mind trying to grasp the thoughts that are expressed by these people but than again, we've always had very, ignorant people among us. They remind me of the people that support Charles Manson or even those that find Hitler to be endearing. They find any way they can to excuse evil and give it justification, which basically makes them evil. Purely twisted.

I had thought I had seen it all till this crazy comment from a poster jumped out at me:

Like all of you, I am STUNNED!
Never did I think the jury would come back with M1.
I keep going over and over in my mind – what did I miss? What were they thinking???
The first thing I said to my friend when we heard the “guilty” verdict was this:
“I don’t ever want to do a crime in AZ and go before a jury.”
There is no doubt in my mind this jury was influenced by the media. All the State had was circumstantial evidence.
AND, when Nancy Grace says that Jodi is just trying to “do reverse psychology on the jury” by saying she wants to die, she couldn’t be further from the truth.
The next thing I said to my friend after the verdict was that if I were Jodi, I would want to die.
Every person in her life has let her down. What does Jodi have to live for?
Sorry about being dramatic – I’m still in shock and I am numb.
Prayers to Jodi and her family. And, prayers for all of you, my friends!
What on earth could this person be stunned about? What trial was this poster watching? Certainly not the one I was watching. The jury was thinking because they were actually paying attention, something this poster obviously was not doing.

Gee, why would you even commit a crime in the first place? Duh. Arizona doesn't want people to commit crimes in their state! That's the point, nitwit. Get it? So you think Jodi is innocent but you admit she committed a crime? Yet you don't see premeditation? Really? Nothing, nowhere?

Again, I have to ask, what trial was this poster watching? Circumstantial evidence? Does this person even know what that means? The circumstantial evidence all came from JODI concerning her lies about Travis.

The best is where this poster claims that everyone in Jodi's life has let HER down. Wow. Nothing is ever Jodi's fault yet, not a one of these people who actually believe Jodi was abused can give an answer as to why she decided to go to AZ in the first place? After all, if Travis was so abusive, why would she go back if she was able to escape? How does an abused woman go running into the arms of another man immediately after killing her so-called abuser? Let me state this plainly for them and anyone else who needs to know -- that doesn't happen. Women who escape the clenches of their abuser do not want anything to do with men afterwards. It can take years to overcome the immense apprehension felt when dealing with men in general. Jodi is exploiting domestic violence and in the process she is insulting the women who are living a nightmare or who have been lucky enough to survive.

Had Jodi been able to prove anything pertaining to Travis, she may have very well found sympathy from the jury and the American public in general. Unfortunately for her, nothing was found. She had not told anyone about anything; nothing was written in her diary; she even tried saying he was a good man when she was first asked about him. There were no ex-girlfriends who found him to be abusive, just unlucky Jodi experienced this? Is that really what she wants us to believe? Fine. Let's just go with this for one moment. Then, how can anyone possibly justify her doing absolutely nothing after seeing Travis with inappropriate pictures of children? She did nothing. She stood by him and continued to be with him in an intimate way. There is no excuse for this. Period.

I must repeat what I have said before -- as a society, we cannot simply excuse people of murder because of prior abuse. A woman who is being attacked should have a right to defend themselves but they do not have a right to escape and then come back to kill. An act like this will literally destroy a woman for life. If you are able to get away from your abuser, then stay away! A person does not have the right to continue escalating a situation.

In this case, Jodi had to prove that Travis was attacking her however this failed miserably. First, Travis had no history of abuse and no one suspected him of abusing. Only in very rare cases will you find that "nobody knew." Most all abusers are known to others as being "off," they have a history of abuse, or people are not comfortable around them; they don't make friends easily; only their parents love them but don't particularly like them. This describes Jodi, not Travis. In fact, she was the very first person named as a suspect from friends.

Five years have gone by and not one witness to come forward and say anything bad about Travis. It's all based solely on her word. Jodi didn't even take pictures (very odd considering she's a photographer), of her injuries but, putting all that aside, one has to wonder what it was that was supposedly keeping her with Travis in the first place? Most woman who are abused are those that find themselves living with the devil after they have had a child with them or married them. They are in situations where they are threatened if they were to ever leave. A man might tell his wife he will take the children from her if she leaves or he may threaten to expose her by lying to family and friends about her. Where did this ever occur in Alexander and Arias' relationship? Nowhere. In fact, he was trying to get her out of his life. At worst we can say Travis was an idiot for continuing to talk to her, knowing she was a loose cannon. When I look at this objectively, it's Travis who is acting like the abuse victim here.

The point is, no matter how hard I try to believe Jodi, I keep running into too many walls and when I finally arrive at the day where Travis was killed, I'm now supposed to believe that Travis attacked Jodi over a dropped camera while being in the most vulnerable position I can think of -- wet, naked, sitting, inside of a shower. Finally, her story makes NO sense. The scenario simply could not have played out the way she states. First of all, the guy allows her to pay him back around $100 per month for a car she destroyed yet, he's going to flip out and attack over a camera? Next, I'm asked to believe that Jodi was body-slammed on tile and was immediately able to get up and run. No. Even if she had adrenaline running through her, she would have been stunned for a moment in time and that moment would not have afforded her enough time to escape. Why run into a closet when she could have just turned the other way and ran out of the house? Same distance and it's not like he's going to follow her out the door naked. The closet is untouched. There are no disturbances in that closet whatsoever. She would have immediately run smack into that stool situated dead center inside the closet and had I been running from someone, my first reaction would be to pick that thing up and throw it behind me at the person chasing. She didn't do that, and neither of them appears to have run into it, moving it in any way. It's right in the middle of that pathway. It would have been disturbed by one or both of them.

Next, Jodi claims to have stood on a shelf to reach a gun that doesn't exist. Travis never owned a gun. Let's say he did own an illegal weapon. Why would he not tell his roommates there is a gun in his home? Jodi says she discovered it while cleaning. Umm...I can't think of anyone that has a gun that would be so irresponsible as not to tell someone cleaning their home, "Hey, be careful, there is a gun here. Don't touch it." It doesn't make sense and the idea that she stepped on a shelf and again nothing was disturbed is another fairy tale from Jodi. It doesn't make any sense. What does make sense is that the .25 caliber stolen from her grandparents' home was taken with her; this was the gun used to shoot Travis.

Finally she runs out the back of the closet, turns around, and mid-chase Travis squats down like a line-backer and lunges at her? Do the people that support her even listen to what Jodi has told us? How can anyone believe this story to be plausible or possible? Again, another detail that is so far-fetched that only Jodi and other crazies could believe it. It didn't happen and the casing to the bullet was found on the other side of the bathroom. Had she shot him where she says, the casing shell would have been to her right. All lies, all the time, and yet some people can't figure out why we don't believe her?

Of course any logical person can figure out she didn't shoot him first. The science backs that up. Her defense can argue all they want but it's like someone saying, "steel doesn't melt." You literally have to be a tin-foil hat wearing type of person to fall for the bs the defense has tried repeatedly to present. Supporters of Jodi actively ignore the  facts in favor of conspiracy and other absurd notions that completely go against rational thought.

At this point, we have moved on to the next phase of the trial. Next the jury will determine if the death penalty will be enforced. I cannot think of a better example in which to enforce the death penalty. The details of this brutal killing should be more than enough to show cruelty and even torture. I believe she tortured him, without a doubt. Let's continue to pray for Travis' family and for this jury.
