Pauline was also an 87 year old grandmother. While she was playing the machine (2011), a ridiculous prize flashed on the screen saying she had won $41.8 million. The machine had malfunctioned and there are signs that show the highest payout on this machine is $10,000. Yet, this idiot thought she had actually won this absurd amount of money. The hotel comped her room and gave her a gift card of $10, even though her actual win was $1.85.
All this and guess what? Yep. Idiot, greedy Pauline sues the casino insisting they broke some kind of contract.
First of all, this idiot needs to read the slots and what they say BEFORE sitting down. Second of all, this was a PENNY slot. Someone needs to inform this nitwit that PENNIES do not transform into millions of dollars. Third of all - this women needs to get some common sense. Does she not understand that a payout like that would force the casino into bankruptcy? Oh but this woman apparently believes her wild fantasies are more important then people's jobs.
Not only is Pauline a complete moron, she's a greedy selfish person as well.
"I had my doubts from the start, because that's a lot of money for a penny machine,” she told the Chicago Tribune after the ruling.
"I was hoping to help my children out financially, but it wasn't meant to be."She had her doubts but she still sued?!? She had her doubts because she knew how ridiculous this was. She knew damn well a penny slot would NEVER pay this much out and she also knew the machine clearly screwed up. Her "win" was $1.85 yet the casino gave her $10 AND comped rooms. Yet somehow this was not "good enough" for this greedy pig?
Oh and she wanted to help her children? Really why are her children struggling? Is it because they learned from you to be greedy, lazy parasites? If you cared about your children they wouldn't be struggling in the first place (I'm merely inferring based on information from the rest of this story but something tells me she cares very little about her children). If this family has any decency they are embarrassed of you granny.
Long gone are the days where granny bakes cookies and cooks comfort dishes. Nowadays we have Pauline's who sit in casinos hoping to get something for nothing. There's nothing wrong when people go out and enjoy themselves; casinos can make for good entertainment but, this story really shows how much things have changed and how rapacious some people truly are.
The silver lining here and why I decided to write this - the judge told Pauline to piss off. She did NOT win her case.

Keep in mind this happened in 2011. Pauline was 87 and she previously took this to district court and they told her, "NO!" She appealed that decision. This women has spent the last 4 years whining about this, wasting the court's time and wasting the time of the casino. She should be charged for all attorneys' fees for such a frivolous lawsuit. Unbelievable.
Had she been gracious and merely asked for the highest payout of $10,000, I'm willing to bet the casino probably would have worked to either get it for her or offer her half. Instead, she was greedy and probably threw a fit and even though she was given a gift card of $10 and comped rooms for her and her family, that STILL didn't satisfy this stupid, nasty woman.
It is an absolute shame that people like Pauline McKee feel the need to go above and beyond in order to make other people miserable. She didn't care about the rules because she didn't bother to read them. She didn't care about the absurdity of winning over $40 million on a PENNY slot machine; she didn't care that the casino would go bankrupt and many people would lose their jobs. No, Pauline McKee wanted to throw a fit and sue and even when she lost she had to appeal. This is what is wrong with trash in this country. Congratulations Pauline McKee for being super trash.
