I first met Diane in late 2010. I believe it was sometime in October that I had added her to my friend list on Facebook. Since I normally only add people who are friends of friends or people I directly know, Diane was someone who was a friend of someone I was friends with. She was a spit fire of a personality on Facebook and I admired that. We hit it off instantly and later, added each other as “sisters.”
Diane had presented herself to me as a 42-year-old woman with a 24 year old son named Gil, who I also added as a friend. She was conservative, hated Obama, was an animal rights activist, and she indicated that she was an entrepreneur and had several employees. She was a beautiful woman who looked very young for her age and she constantly attributed this to her vegan diet. She claimed that she had been a vegetarian/vegan since the age of 16.
Obviously, we had several things in common, as I too am conservative and adhere to a vegetarian diet, slowly working on going vegan. We also share a feisty attitude when dealing with liberals. I had even conversed with her over the phone on an occasion. I also saw that she had several different photos posted so; I really had no reason to think anything sinister about her. I felt a kinship with her.
Well, you can imagine my shock when finally someone decided to clue me in on some things...

Now, I will say, I did think she looked fairly young but, again, Diane kept insisting it all had to do with her diet. She bragged constantly about how she worked so hard for her body. She was constantly talking about how she thinks she looks 25 and she gets told that all the time by so many people. If anyone were mad at her, it was because they were jealous of her.
Of course, now that I look back, more and more things are making sense to me. First, Diane had changed her age a few times. Sometimes she was 41 and sometimes 43. I didn't pay too much attention to simple details. Sometimes I forget I'm 35. I admit it. It's not the biggest deal to slip up and say a different age. It happens. It doesn't mean anyone is purposely trying to deceive. However, when someone screws up what YEAR they are born, that is definitely odd. Now, I didn't keep track of this but, on her birthday, I offered to do a horoscope chart for her. She gave me her birth date as 1968Mar06. I looked at her email and it has her birth date in it. It clearly has the numbers 3667. After speaking with some other people, she had given a total of three different years -- 1967, 1968, and 1969. I also believe she gave a different date of March 8th.
Now, going to this site, and feeding the information of Diane Campbell with the year 1967 pulls up some interesting information.
So, it looks like sweet, vegan Diane isn't so sweet after all. Come to think of it, I always wondered how she had so much time to be on Facebook, if she was running her own company. Conversing with others, she had told them she was doing medical transcription. I happen to know that requires a lot of time and effort to complete so there is no way she was doing anything of the sort. She is simply a criminal, a fraud, and a scam artist.
As for Lela Star, Diane always talked about how she looked 25, well that's because Lela is in her 20's.

Diane claims she is from Argentina or Brazil and that she's Italian. There's a rumor going around suggesting that Diane is admitting to being Lela and that she was trying to cover her identity. Well, I suppose I can understand a porn star trying to start over and become a new woman. This is entirely possible but, it doesn't sound like she's a vegan either:

I gave Diane an opportunity to explain herself to me. I sent her a PM and instead of responding, she deleted me. I wanted to at least give her an opportunity to be straight with me. Apparently this was just too hard for her to do.
Now, we get to the animal rights stuff. I don't know. I never really was a part of that crowd on Facebook. I know a few of those folks, and while I adore and love animals, I have to say some of those folks actually hate humans. I'm not a "four-legs-good, two-legs-bad" person. I just don't look at it like that. I don't like to see any animals being tortured or mistreated but, I do see that they are ultimately property. Animals are not human so, when you get into the area of them having rights as if they are human, you end up with some seriously flawed philosophies. I don't really want to get into an argument about animals. I do have enormous respect for those that make an effort to help save animals and provide them with loving homes. May G-d bless them dearly. I have to say, when I see people like Diane, she doesn't give these folks a good name whatsoever.
I do not know for certain if Diane has done anything bad to any animals. There is some speculation that Diane may be pulling animals, only to later sell them in a pet store. There are also rumors that several dogs that have gone to her are missing. This is purely speculative, as I have no hard evidence, only the words of people, people whom I do not know.
I don't give a crap if this woman has done porn. No one does. I'm not sure why this is even an issue. The issue people have a problem with is her taking someone else's photos and displaying them as if they were hers. She is NOT Lela Star! She is Diane Campbell, who has a criminal record and, has most likely used Facebook and other outlets to worm her way into the animal rights community in order to take advantage of kind hearted folks who believe they are putting their money towards saving the animals they truly love and care for.
Why am I writing this? Well, I will tell you, I am 'effing sick and tired of FAKE A$$HOLES on the internet. This is my last straw. I have been dealing with one damn sociopath after the next since my ex and I have repeatedly walked away, shrugging my shoulders, telling myself not to worry about it, and doing my best to move on. Well, this is a final straw for me! I had confided in Diane specifically how hurt I have been in the past by people who have portrayed themselves as fake pieces of filth. This did not stop her from being the piece of filth she is so, I'm putting her on blast!
I don't understand where people get the idea that it's okay to take someone else's photos and identity, only to make this fake personality and try to scam and make everyone look like a damn fool. I should have caught this sooner because she was such a drama queen about everything. I am relieved to be rid of this evil person but, I want to do my part to warn others of who she is. Again, I don't know if she has actually brought any harm to any animals but, if she's lying about stupid stuff like this, there's something NOT right with her. Stay away from this woman!

Is this the REAL Diane? This is a pic she put up and said it was her mother but, I'm thinking a 44 year old with a past drug problem probably looks more like this.
When I found out about all of this, I was actually taking a break from Facebook but, I did quickly check my account and found a PM. That is when all this stuff was brought to my attention. Diane had already closed up her wall and had begun removing all of her pics -- Lela's pics. Gil had removed me a day or two before. I'm not sure if they are partners in crime or if that is another alias of hers. According to what I have read, the pic Gil has up is yet another porn star. Same with Veronica. Her profile clearly says she is a porn star.
Diane has told people to call her husband, officer Campbell. She repeatedly says that her ex is a police officer. This is a story she has told me and others. Here is officer Campbell. According to what I have been reading, someone did call and Googled him.
He's not married to Diane.
The pic on the left is an old photo of Diane. Someone she went to school with posted this. I'm not sure what year that was taken. Judging the quality of film, the pink hue, and feathered hair, I would think it's safe to say this is straight up 80's style baby. Could the photo on the right be Diane later on? We know it isn't her...

Many of the pics on Lela's MySpace account are ones that I have seen on Diane's Facebook. Nice try, fake ass. You've been exposed and hopefully you will fall away into obscurity but, sociopaths like you will comeback and try again but, this time, people will not be fooled because, your crazy temper tantrums and bizarre behavior will give you away.
I am utterly disgusted with people like this. It amazes me what some people will do to get attention, with no concern whatsoever who they hurt along the way. I hope that Lela goes after this woman! I have more respect for this porn star than I do for Diane, that's for sure! At least she is who she says she is. That's more than I can say for cruddy people like Diane. To think I actually cared about this woman and I would still have made allowances, had she come clean and just admitted what she did.
No one is perfect. Everyone makes serious mistakes in life. I can get passed a lot of things but, when people are fake like this, I just lose it. This was the straw on the camel's back for me. Spread the message far and wide. Do NOT associate with this person. They are bad news and seriously disturbed.

Petco offered to pay for the broken leg. They knew she was trying to scam them, so they said she would have to pay for the pre exsiting condition. Well Diane soon learned that she was not getting over on them and decided to have Harley put down...then tried to sue them saying that they were the cause of her having to put down her dog. So Harley is dead apparently :o(

I did have to remove the link to the other site with certain alias' listed because it is becoming more and more clear that those people are NOT Diane at all. In fact, someone is so distraught that they now feel their life is ruined because of the rumors that have been spread by the person posting that information.
I have warned about using any information without it being verified and I was ignored and no information was given to me to confirm all those profiles were "verified" to be Diane, as the person so boldly claimed. Instead the information was continued to be passed on as FACT with nothing but suspicion. As a consequence, Diane has been able to stay on Facebook and attention has been diverted from her. Another scammer is getting lumped in as being Diane and they are hiding under the radar, and a few other people have been slandered.
I have always made it a point to preface that I am NOT sure about the other profiles, and I will continue to do my best to maintain this standard.
the person posting all those alias that she says are diane - she owes a man $1400 from her chipins and tells everyone not to pay attention. she says it is a retaliation for showing everybody all these alias. she says people saying this are retaliating on her for saying facts. (she now says these are maybe not facts - but that is not what she has been saying up to this point - so people have been posting her facts for quite some time - never asking her to show any proof of her facts or the connection to 'diane'). the money she collected was for his dog, and he said he saw the 37 donations including one for 600 from one person, and she never gave him any money. she asked him for his bank numbers from chase and capital one and she already has his ssn. she now says the money is hers. this is the same person whose post people are copying. they have no idea. she says she is 'having fun' and spent three hours writing about various alias - but she has never shown anything that has a fact attached to it - now she says 'make up your own mind' - if you look at all her posts - they all said fact. meanwhile, this man and his vet both confirmed he never went to his dog's appt for the large benign tumor because this woman you see gathering all these alias - never gave him any of the money. she repeated another chipin for 1400, redirecting the funds to another email. was there ever a dog that needed that money? or did the family ever see the money - cause you could not see it on chipin because 'the chipin was not working.' she does not seem to understand that 'diane' is surely enjoying all the fingerpointing most likely because everybody has become diane. top paw is no doubt a great rescue - but anybody that wants to keep the 'diane' thing going has got to keep showing cause. so i would look at the horse's mouth - the person saying all these alias are diane.

I had included some names that were given to me by many people. I had falsely assumed that those names were coming from more than one source. They were NOT. They were just being repeated from that one source.
When I had contacted the woman posting all these names, she had said they were "verified as being Diane." I inquired further as to how she was able to do this so that I could give that information to people reporting Diane for fraud. No response was given to me. She flat out ignored me. Then, she comes on my blog and posts her link. That is the link I removed.
I had some of the names listed on part 3 with a caution that they were NOT confirmed. I have since flat out removed a few names, now that I am being informed some of those people are not Diane at all. Not even in the slightest.
I am waiting for this woman to make a public apology to these people, as she had promised she would, "if she were wrong."
Well, why would it be "if" she were wrong, if she said she "verified them"?
She has been saying the same verbatim post since september 2010 - as fact, only piggybacking with four new posts in the last month because the guy who wants to bring his dog to the vet spoke out loud and asked why she has his bank numbers and is not giving him the money for his dog. he made himself available to anyone by telephone who is willing to help him get his money - since she now says the money is hers. He is her neighbor. Scoobys Doghouse and all the others, as you say, mimic. There was never any verification only fingerpointing. Now, she says she could be wrong and that she will let people make up their own mind - and that her posts are the result of what she has been told. That is not how her posts read, as you pointed out.
If anyone wants to talk about 'diane' - so what if she used a porn pic or three? doesn't matter. someone said they had the transport company for emily, another has for jewel. and the dogs did probably arrive via transport - but who knows from there. but to be perfectly frank, how many people donate to rescues - whether to 'diane' or to anybody - and all they hear is 'fostered'? they never follow up, almost never. rescues may post some pics, but not in consideration of the volume that are sponsored and pulled. most people assume they are at foster or adopted.
where diane looks leary is when you read the post about jewel - it is inherently scripted - as if she is parodying wanting to save a dog. the bad part is that the people on the thread pulled the dog and set up transport and never detected the huge red flag. who knows if this is 'diane' or some guy who has been selling to Class B dealers or - the biggest pit fighting ring busted in ohio was a 'pit rescue.' think about ashtyn rayne in ny saying he wanted to rescue all the pits and the pound saying no. he said he had ten in his basement. all the women on the thread were helping him and offering to pull and transport for him. the ultimate blame is the way some rescues and people truly wanting to help - proceed without caution, launching these dogs to anybody. i don't have a clue how to get dogs safer, faster - but handing them out the way we all seem to - in the name of them getting a good home - nobody is home checking or following up - not even on the 'legit' rescues. a rescue does not necessarily mean the dog is permanently safe. about the rescues, how many dogs that are 'saved' in nc are showing up at kill shelters under other names in GA?
how many rescues, nowadays, say we need $300 or $600 to save a couple dogs, and 10 days later say the foster or adopter bailed - and the dogs need more money, or they will die?
the people who contribute $25 or $50 believe they have saved the dog for life.
how many dogs and cats do rescues save, for hundreds of dollars this week, that you actually track into foster or homes? the rescues are too busy moving you on to the 'new' dogs and cats - you never look back.
many times the rescue will say a 'friend' is 'fostering' - usually after they have exhausted any more money. do you believe that? how many dogs are dropped off at farms by rescues? how are they finding fosters week after week for all these dogs and cats they pull for hundreds of dollars?
if that sounds sick, sorry. you may call up and say you want to save a dog who is going to die the next day and the 501 says $100. what you don't know is that 9 other people called up and said the same thing, and donated, just like you. what you really don't know is that the dog you are worried about is already 'safe' - the adopter has paid his pull fee, vetting, and transport. you'll never know that. how do i know? called the 501 and had 8 other people call, and already knew the adopter. this is a rescue everybody knows. do they do good? yes. do they do bad? yes. but if you say anything, your name is going to be on the list a la what we see happening here with the fingerpointing. they will jump on the bandwagon in order to keep the spotlight off them.
it's getting kind of seamy the way rescues call out somebody and right after that say, they are ruining my chipin, please contribute to my chipin to make up for these awful people.
We'll make it crystal clear, one of the alleged 'Dianes' was said by Kimberly Glasnapp - to have: a) posted she's going to pull a dog; b) taken money for said dog; c) made people think said dog would be saved; and d) said dog then "gets pts." That's a big claim of fact with no verification. Better question: why do 900 people repost it verbatim?
actually it's the other way around: kimberly is the only one making up facts for over a year now saying the same thing over and over - and nobody else has added anything (except replica reposts and hate). as soon as it came out that kimberly did not give the man the money for his dog - suddenly all these other alias turned up - all discovered with 'verification' by - kimberly. and since she felt 'targeted' as a rescue - and no one was jumping on the bandwagon to cheer her on - the sure fire fix was to create profiles of OTHER RESCUES and say diane was going after THEM. so: as she says here: they CAN SUPPORT 'each other.'

Sorry, never saw pages 2 and 3. Is it always the same person posting as 'diane.' Are they always foul mouthed and far out - all those replies? The only question I have is who are the 'neighbors' who supposedly gave jewel a home? even if that's not supposed to be anybody's business per se, because a lot of rescues policy is to not share the names of fosters - because the people on the thread cared - you would think he or she would be thrilled to share about jewel and not ditch the thread and turn up hostile.
