Martin Shkreli - Hero or Zero?

He looks a bit like a young Matthew Broderick from the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. His name is Martin Shkreli and he's best known as "America's Most Hated Man." The question is -why? What on earth did this man do that could justify such a label?

Jon Stewart and Charles Krauthammer

I was browsing YouTube and came across this video. I'm glad I did. As always, Krauthammer is brilliant. In this debate/discussion/interview with Jon Stewart he does a brilliant job at explaining the Obama heath care law and why so many conservatives oppose it.

Jon is also brilliant and I appreciate how he expresses himself and his ideas as well. I don't often agree with Stewart but I do think he's hilarious and he really does seem to think about what he believes, rather than just spouting off the typical liberal rhetoric that we are so used to hearing. Both of them really make an effort to be respectful of one another and demonstrate how most of us would like our politicians to discuss issues.

Let the Left Practice What They Preach

So the left wants to take our guns away so our children will be safe and magically free from harm. They laugh at the notion of having armed guards posted inside of schools. Does this mean that Obama's children will also no longer be protected by armed security guards? Interesting that I don't see this anywhere in the news. I guess what's good for our democrat leaders is not so good for the people they supposedly represent. Until these "leaders" start practicing what they preach, I would appreciate if they would just STFU already with their fake emotion and outrage.

Here's a list of some things the left needs to stand by:

No democrat shall be protected by the government. No guards, no more secret service, no security systems, and no protection for their families. They will have the option to call 911 if they find themselves in trouble.

No private healthcare for the left. They must submit to government care ONLY. They will have no right to appeal decisions made by the government concerning their care. If they are elderly or sickly, they will be required to submit themselves to euthanasia.

NO more rich liberals. All far-lefty libs need to give their excess money to the poor and spread their wealth around. All should immediately write checks to the government in the exact amount of their savings, pension, investments, and anything else that gives them wealth.

All libs need to encourage, if not outright demand that their children be homosexual. They themselves need to engage in homosexual sex as well. It is important for the lib to have first hand knowledge and understanding of what homosexuality is as well as raising homosexual children.

They must engage in limited free speech. Absolutely no jokes, no politically incorrect statements, and absolutely no phrases, speeches, or written materials that could be considered offensive to anyone. If they can't say anything nice, they must force themselves not to say it at all.

No war. No fighting. No violence. All of Hollywood must remove any and all traces of violent films. They shall not be allowed to make any more films that depict using guns or weapons of any kind. All actors who have appeared in any violent films are no longer allowed to receive any type of residual income profiting from these films. If it can be proven that their original profit from these films was used to purchase things like their house or car, they shall be immediately confiscated and given to the poor for housing and transportation. The dems must immediately pull our troops out of every military operation across the globe.

Far lefty's will also be required to give their homes up to the American Indians, after all we did take their land so it should be immediately given back and they must have a smile on their face while doing so.

All females who are liberal must be on birth control and if they happen to conceive they must submit themselves to having an abortion. According to them this is just a small procedure that has no enduring effects. They will have no need for children anyway since they will no longer have homes to house their children.

Liberals who do find homes to live in because they are American Indians, minorities, or some other class of "victim" will be required to live next door to convicted pedophiles and/or other types of rehabilitating felons.

It's time for the left to practice what they preach, no?

Debunked: Chemtrails

As with most conspiracy theories, half truths and often flat out lies are used to support ridiculous claims that are only made for the purposes of giving people a reason to live in fear, and so that certain people can cash in on the ignorance of others.

The idea that the government is using airplanes to spread chemicals over our population in order to kill us is one that has been persistently around over the last several years, even though this conspiracy has been repeatedly exposed for the fraud it is. For whatever reason, people are still falling for this ludicrous claim as if it were true. I am merely posting this video as an offering of truth for people who are still living in fear.



Unfortunately, conspiracy theorists are seen on both sides of the current political spectrum. Fear mongers like Alex Jones have been cashing in on these types of hysterical pseudo-science claims for years. As frustrating as free speech can be in times of witnessing people make such ill-informed claims, it must be protected. It is most certainly the responsibility of the reader to check, double check, and triple check information they receive via media, internet, or other news sources -- including even this blog because, YES I've made mistakes myself and even though I have made efforts to correct my misinformed posts, the corrections can still get lost.

The ignorant are not stupid. They are merely people who are looking for answers and sometimes this curiosity can inadvertently cause one to chase the rabbit down the hole into a world of utter nonsense. Like Alice, it may take some time to realize they have literally lost their own perception of reality. Trying to make full sense of the new world they have found can be as difficult as shoving toothpaste back into the tube. This is why the study of logic and critical reasoning are necessary. If one ever expects to be aware, they must also understand the basic principles of mathematics and science.

Having a basic understanding of these logic skills can help a person separate facts from opinions. Math builds  problem solving skills. For example, when we are confronted with a problem in algebra, we often find that our job is to discover the unknown variable or what "a" represents, in some cases there is more than one unknown. In order to do this, the solver must follow specific steps that will help isolate the variable and only then can the answer be found. In science, we learn certain laws and principles where we can apply our knowledge in order to solve other types of problems. When we are confronted with conspiracy theories and we are ignorant of these concepts, it's very difficult to isolate and examine the unknown because we lack the needed, basic information that can help guide us to the solution. In these cases, it is very easy for someone to lead us in directions that are false giving us more unknown values.

For instance, in the case of chem trails, as we see in the video, the claim that those trails that stay in the air for longer periods of time must indicate that they are chemicals and nothing else can explain this phenomenon is a perfect example of a false dichotomy. The conspiracy theorist is well-known for providing their audience with an "either/or" option and counts on a person not being able to understand the basic science behind why those trails would indeed exist longer in the air. Even if you are not very familiar with science, you still must be aware that when it's cold outside when you are breathing, your breath is easily identified since it "hangs" in the air. The contrails are hitting a cold front in the air, creating the visual we see.

Again, just because something isn't initially understood does not automatically mean that the only other option must be something sinister or conspiratorial. This is exactly what conspiracy theorist do all the time. If they can't explain what happened because they lack the knowledge of understanding, they simply resort to concluding it must be a conspiracy of some sort.

Look deep. Whenever you see anything that is presented as mysterious or a conspiracy, look again. Try and find the other side of the argument and then draw your conclusions. Remaining skeptical can be your greatest asset in protecting yourself from nonsensical claims. Rarely is anything "either/or" and if there are other simple explanations that can explain away the conspiracy then there is no reason to buy into the garbage unless you are merely doing so as a sign of faith. Faith is nothing more than believing in something that cannot be proven.

Most all of us have faith in something. I myself, have faith in G-d, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit but, it's certainly not scientific to believe and I accept that. If you are to continue having faith in something like conspiracies, just be sure that you are being honest with yourself and admit that it is faith and not intellectual reasoning.

Rarely will you find a conspiracy theorist admit to being wrong. Oftentimes they will list out a bunch of ideas that are all over the map and most of these are simply questions that they do not have answers for and insist that the absence of answers (they would be satisfied with), are enough to believe their conclusions are correct. You can even find examples where specific questions are answered in very reasonable scientific terms. The conspiracy theorists may often accept they were wrong but they will merely change what they believe in order to continue on with their narrative.

A true believe in chemtrails will watch the video I posted and may accept that indeed they now see evidence that those contrails did exist before the 90's but, they will stick with their story and suggest that it merely shows the government has been spraying chemicals over our population for much longer than they originally thought. This of course is utter nonsense but the true believer is incapable of accepting new founded information because they have not learned how to separate their fear from fiction. It's as if they find more comfort in accepting the government is out to kill everyone than they do accepting that there is nothing odd occurring. It's merely a phenomenon that can be easily explained away using basic science.

Another problem with conspiracies is their "open story line." They make these insane claims about the government creating disastrous situations but they cannot offer a time-line of events. Their only reason for coming to such a conclusion is world domination or controlling people in some way. They cannot tell you who it was who put the plans together, what roles each person played, the steps they took to keep their plans secret until "the big day," who was in control of the of handling information given to the media, how they believed their plans would help reach their ultimate goal, evidence of how the plan worked or didn't work, and why it is these SAME people in the government can't even negotiate on simple things like a budget but plans on bringing death and destruction to thousands for the purpose of domination works out smoothly each and every time.

In the case of contrails chemtrails, we must believe that pilots are a part of the plot, they are willing participants, or another option is that they are carrying out their plans with the threat of being killed or their families being killed. In any case, amazingly this has gone on for some 20 years and we have no conclusive stories of entire areas where people are dropping dead due to the dangerous chemicals. We have no scientific reports, peer reviewed, that show the atmosphere is polluted with poisonous chemicals that have been specifically tied to airplanes. We have no confirmed whistle blowers coming forward.

Even if chemicals were to be found, the idea that they could only conclusively come from a plane is absurd. In order to arrive at a conclusion we must have the entire story in front of us. It's hard research looking at all the different possibilities that can logically, scientifically explain occurrences. It's must easier to just blame it on something evil. Intellectual laziness is what causes people to have faith in these fantasy, fairy tales.

Asking questions is a must but if you refuse to accept answers that come with logic, then you are not interested in being reasonable. For logic, reason, and science click here for more.

If Obama Knew...

If Obama knew that the attacks were going to happen because our government was warned 48 hours ahead of time and he did NOTHING to increase security...that coupled with the terrorists finding an undisclosed location of the "safe house"...this is TREASON! Is it not? Obviously he put some other interest ahead of the American people. He should be locked up, tried, and then put to sleep.

When Brian Williams asked Boehner, what government program this country could do without, Boehner couldn't think of one. How lovely.

Feds Vs. Arizona State

The Federal government is trying to get an injunction concerning the recent bill passed in Arizona concerning immigration. They are arguing that the state is trying to take over what the Federal government should be completely in charge of. So, it all boils down to the balancing of powers.

How can the Federal government even make such a claim, when it is clearly obvious to anyone with a few brain cells, that they have not been enforcing the immigration laws they already have? This is absolute utter nonsense.

We have the state of Arizona, which is absolutely going down the tubes, because of illegals coming in, absorbing costs for school, medical care, and a host of other government resources. They are also taking jobs away from citizens, and not paying taxes.

The citizens of Arizona demanded something to be done and their state responded to the need. They are doing their jobs, which is something the Federal government has not been doing for years, especially in the area of immigration.

Kris Kobach, the University of Missouri-Kansas City law professor who helped draft the Arizona law, has said the state law is only prohibiting conduct already illegal under federal law. And Harvard Law School professor Gerald Neuman believes Arizona could make a compelling legal argument that it has overlapping authority to protect its residents.

Obama and his administration are wasting our government dollars by suing Arizona, and telling it's citizens that they don't care what it is they want or, need. It is an absolute disgrace that this is even being allowed.

Obama, you work for us! You are not a king; this isn't your kingdom. It is clear you don't respect the citizens of this country, and your experience when it comes to running anything is limited to hosting a few fairs or BBQ's in Chicago. You should just go back to the state of Illinois and, go sit in your hateful church of Rev. Wright, and just leave us all alone. Biden and Pelosi need to go away as well...but, I'll save that for another day.

Poor = Criminal

Or, so I was told today.

I have quite a knack at getting into post wars on the internet and today was no exception. I guess it's just my witty charm. An obvious liberal, who also claims to be Christian, decided to respond to this quote:


"In my youth I traveled much and I observed in different countries that the more public provisions were made for the poor the less they provided for themselves and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves and became richer.” -Ben Franklin

"I just knew Jesus was wrong. Ben Franklin is bow diety" ...said the man I ended up talking to...(it's actually deity but, I spell things wrong too, I just happen to know how to use spell check). Anyways, I questioned him about this and, ended up telling him that, yes people should help the poor but, they should have a choice and that the government shouldn't be making all those decisions for us.

He replied to me with a comparison of taxes for roads and military, with welfare for the poor. Obviously this is absurd.

What always frustrates me about liberals is their take on taxes. I am not an anarchist. I support giving money for roads, police, fireman, military, and possibly a few other programs but, these are services that are helpful for all citizens. When the government takes from the haves and gives to the have-nots, that is stealing. That is Robin Hood philosophy.

I further explained to this man that I have no problem donating money to the poor. He actually had the nerve to ask me what my figures are for my, "apparent generosity." What a goon.

Because I pointed out the difference, I was accused of talking out both sides of my mouth, as well as interpreting the Bible any way I pleased. I asked this man more than once to tell me where in the Bible it says that stealing is okay, in some circumstances. He has yet to give me an answer on that one.

Instead, he decided to say: I'm the one interpreting it more literal. I'm not trying to belittle you at all. Just pointing out that you speak out of both sides of your mouth. Roads benefit all but food stamps benefit just one so they are not okay. Good luck making converts with that theology.

Again you are not consistant with what you say which is very typical of right wingnuts. You paying taxes for roads benefits all but so does foudstamps because if people have no food they will steal it and crime would go up. So they benefit all. Sure there is abuse for which I am against, but many need help and as God commands I'm willing all I can

I love this. I'm the one being accused of not being consistent? I'm not the one saying it's okay to steal in some circumstances. The commandment is "Thou shalt not steal," not "Thou shalt not steal but, sometimes it's okay for the government to do so." Last I checked, it's a commandment, not a suggestion.

Now, don't get me wrong, I realize there's not much I can do about all this but, my point isn't about eradicating the system. My point is simply identifying what is right and, what is wrong. I asked this man straight out, "Do you think Jesus would be running around with Robin Hood and his merry men?" Of course, that wasn't answered either. If taking money from one group of people and giving it to another group of people isn't stealing, than I don't know what is.

The part that really made steam come out of every orifice of my body was the part where he said, "if people have no food they will steal it and crime would go up." How can someone have the nerve to say such an ignorant statement? So, if someone is without, according to this guy, they will always resort to stealing and being criminals. Poverty causes crime? It's funny because, I know plenty of rich people that have committed crimes, lots of crimes and, just because they could afford good lawyers doesn't mean that their crimes didn't effect the people around them.

It's also interesting to note that as more money has been funneled into the welfare system, I don't see crime going down anywhere. It's clear this guy has never lived in a big city like, oh say... Baltimore.


Furthermore, if this guy thinks that it is Jesus' will to have the government take from some and give that money to others, then isn't that forcing religion? I thought it was the liberals that were always shouting about "separation of church and state"? The whole idea of being Christian is allowing people the freedom to chose. Forcing people to do certain things is not a Christian value.

I have no problem with government offices having the 10 Commandments displayed. I have no problem with prayer in school (you don't have to participate), I have no problem with many things but, I do have a problem when people claim they are Christian and believe it's okay for the state to control everything.


What it boils down to is that liberals do not have faith in G-d. They believe in the government. The government is their god. This man thinks that if the government didn't provide subsidies for the poor, that no one would ever help the poor. He has NO faith that G-d will take care of them, that G-d will move the hearts and minds of people people to give voluntarily.


I don't think we're necessarily going to get people to agree that no help should be available but, I don't think we should make it easy for people either. I'm okay with helping to a degree. Help. Definitely help but, make it uncomfortable. When I see generation after generation being on welfare, I am bothered by that. We are making people feel comfortable on these programs and that's not a good thing. We keep people victims doing that. I just cannot believe that Jesus would say that's a good thing.

Barney Frank: Amply Named

The circus clown Barney Frank revealed his true colors, on MSNBC.

"We are trying on every front to increase the role of government," he proudly declares when questioned about a vote he made concerning deregulation.

This video is truly priceless.

What a Lazy Week It's Been!

I suppose I could go on and on about the health care bill AGAIN but, to me, it's just so obvious about what is right and what is wrong here.

The government needs to stay out of this! Why would anyone want the government to get involved in health care? We've seen what happens over and over and over and over again. NO system is perfect, none. Getting the government even further involved in our health care will only harm it further.

If you don't see it this way, I'm only a blogger, I can't cure your mental disorder.
