Congratulations to Bruce Jenner for Coming Out As a Conservative!

In the much anticipated interview of Bruce Jenner by Diane Sawyer, Bruce bravely admitted to being a conservative Republican! [Gasp!] This was extremely brave to do and I fully support and congratulate him!

He also mentioned something about turning into a women.

I wasn't planning on watching this interview but, when I noticed it was about to come on while surfing the channels I decided - why not? I have actually always liked Bruce Jenner. Out of the Kardashian-clan Bruce was the one to be admired and most respected. After all, he's the 1976 Olympic decathlon gold medal winner and they are - well, they are ... they are Kardashians.

I'm actually glad I did. As always, Bruce was a class-act who explained he was interested in just being himself.

While the show itself tried desperately to make him look like a victim of some sort, Bruce told the audience, that if this was the only problem he has then he's doing quite well and I completely agree.

This was a great interview. Bruce is truly a likable guy - errr... women. She is required to live a year as a female. Then Bruce will decide if s/he wants to have reassignment surgery. Bruce did not reveal if he was a woman who wanted to be with a man or a women who wanted to be with another women. It seems he has merely felt like a women inside for a very long time.

Robert Downey Jr.Walks OUT on Rude Interviewer

Let me just first say that I have always, always LOVED Robert Downey Jr. Ever since I was a young kid I have adored him because he has always been so incredibly talented. Even in his dark days, I really liked this guy. I always had hope for him and to watch him climb from the gutters of addiction and become the star he is today is just incredible and makes an American proud.

This interview that was done by some dullard from the UK starts off with asking questions about the new movie coming out for Iron Man.

Finally the guy decides to badger Downey about a quote that was from Downey several years ago. Here is some history...

Downey did an interview after he got himself cleaned up and he made a quote that became rather controversial in Hollywood but was celebrated among the conservatives in America. This was from The New York Times in 2008:

“I have a really interesting political point of view, and it’s not always something I say too loud at dinner tables here. But you can’t go from a $2,000-a-night suite at La Mirage to a penitentiary and really understand it and come out a liberal. You can’t. I wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone else, but it was very, very, very educational for me and has informed my proclivities and politics every since.”

I have always believed that Downey was not necessarily speaking about being a Republican but rather that he changed in such a way that showed him the importance of taking personal responsibility for his life. Rather than externalizing blame, one needs to find strength inside of themselves.

If you have ever known people who have battled with drug abuse or alcohol abuse, it is clear that many of them carry along a victim type mentality. Now couple all this with Downey's fairly privileged background being born into Hollywood royalty, it's easy to see how a person can become full of themselves. Indulging in drugs and leading a careless life eventually led him to reach a bottom that many in Hollywood never see. That type of change clearly led him to becoming more humble and in turn generally more conservative. It goes along with the same old adage, "If you're in your 20's and you're not a liberal, you have no heart but if you're in your 30's and you're not a conservative you have no brain."

It's about growing up and it's about maturing. Some people put labels on it but, sometimes these labels change and sometimes the labels are accurate. I believe Downey was there to do an interview and not discuss politics. He's an actor and ultimately he's representing the studio. He's not there to isolate audience members talking about politics or philosophy. The questioning as it pertains to this type of interview was uncalled for and confrontational.

I'm very glad to see Downey walk out. It doesn't matter what he believed then or now. This type of questioning did not belong in this interview.

Jon Stewart and Charles Krauthammer

I was browsing YouTube and came across this video. I'm glad I did. As always, Krauthammer is brilliant. In this debate/discussion/interview with Jon Stewart he does a brilliant job at explaining the Obama heath care law and why so many conservatives oppose it.

Jon is also brilliant and I appreciate how he expresses himself and his ideas as well. I don't often agree with Stewart but I do think he's hilarious and he really does seem to think about what he believes, rather than just spouting off the typical liberal rhetoric that we are so used to hearing. Both of them really make an effort to be respectful of one another and demonstrate how most of us would like our politicians to discuss issues.

Enjoy!

This is the funniest damn interview I've seen in years. Give it up, Weiner! You're a waste of space.

Nakoula's Interview - Remember the Filmmaker Accused of Triggering Benghanzi?

Basseley Nakoula, filmmaker of  “Innocence of Muslims," the same film that The White House tried to connect with inciting the attack in Benghazi last September.

Nakoula is now living in a halfway house. He was arrested almost immediately after the attack but the arrest was blamed on other charges against him that involved drugs and fraud.

Rachel Jeantel Gets In Her 15 Minutes

Rachel Jeantel did her first interview post trial with CNN.

As you can see, she has been carefully scripted. She tells us that Trayvon was calm. She denies using drugs and that Trayvon used marijuana but it only made him hungry -- I guess she forgot about paranoid.
Anyway, tell me what you think.

The Verdict Is In -- Jodi Arias Is Guilty

Wednesday, the verdict day finally arrived. Those of us that have been following the trial have anxiously awaited the verdict. Many of us had either prayed and chatted on Facebook expressing our hope for a guilty verdict. For me, and I think many others, this was more than Jodi being found guilty. This was about our ultimate faith the American Justice System. After the acquittal Casey Anthony many Americans had lost all faith in juries. My goodness. What kind of a jury could be so idiotic to think that a woman who knows her daughter is dead, then goes out and parties for 30 days, gets a tattoo, doesn't report anything to the authorities, and carries on with her life like nothing happened while continuing to lie, lie, and lie some more did not kill her daughter? Unbelievable, inexcusable stupidity was expressed by that jury when they let her walk. That particular case sucked the life out of me. I remember being pregnant when I had heard that poor Caylee went missing and her mother didn't even care. No emotions of sadness. Casey merely became mad because she was in jail and HER life had been taken away, no concern over her daughter's life whatsoever.

Sean Hannity Interviews George Zimmerman

There are other places to see the full interview but I thought just isolating the audio would be much more powerful. I find Zimmerman to be very calm and melancholy. He seems fairly depressed in my opinion and who wouldn't be, considering what he has gone through?

His story has not changed and I feel as though this interview may have been a good thing for him in the sense that it allowed him to try and engage the public that has been so relentlessly judgmental upon him. Hopefully it helped him on a personal level. However, those same people that do not like him are not likely to change their minds about him or what happened that night. Some people are much more comfortable basing their opinions on emotions rather than logic or facts.

I pray for justice. I can't imagine being the target of such hatred over self-defense. Our rights to defend ourselves, our lives, and our communities have been called into question concerning this case and that should never have happened. The people against Zimmerman seem to suggest that people have no right to question suspicious characters in their neighborhoods. I guess living in fear of everyone the way many of them do is considered "freedom" to them? No thank you.

Did this interview help or hurt Zimmerman?

Newt's Dirt Made Public By Ex-Wife

A story that leaked on Drudge reveals an ABC interview with Newt's ex-wife Marianne will air before Saturday, which is when the South Carolina primary will occur.

Apparently Marianne does not have nice things to say about her ex-hubby Newt. She accuses him of trying to rewrite history in order to make himself look good. I'm not sure why anyone would be shocked by a person trashing their ex but apparently, ABC wants to make this news.

Charlie Sheen -- The Interview

TMZ.com

Look, if you don't see that Charlie Sheen has done some serious, permanent brain damage, after watching tonight's interview, I don't know what would convince you.

Tonight we got to see Charlie on 20/20 being interviewed. Questions about his lifestyle, his drugs, his partying, his overall health, and sex life were all included.

Sheen lives an odd life with 2 girlfriends "goddesses." I think they said they were both porn stars.

A whole piece was dedicated to showing Charlie working out and, trying to convince everyone he's sober and living a healthy, clean life but, during the interview Charlie was acting incredibly odd, almost manic at times. He was very animated and, at one point became very defensive when asked about how he feels he is doing as a father.

He made a point to tell everyone that him and his "goddesses" all engage in sex.
"They're good at what they do and I'm good at what I do. It's on."
Okay. Thanks for letting us all know, Charlie. It was this type of verbiage that left me uncomfortable watching him.

He lacks any sort of shame. He was asked about the prostitutes, the night at the hotel where his latest ex-wife says she was choked by him, his drug habit, etc. All of these things were dismissed. "That's just silly," was his basic response. Then he actually threw out some ad homenim attacks by calling all the people who have accused him of these things various names. We are not supposed to take any of them seriously because of who they are.

Charlie was told that some people have called him bi-polar. He dismisses that as well, saying that he won't take any medication to "be like them."

During the interview, 20/20 showed clips of Charlie Sheen from a previous interview that occurred in 1999, after a stint in rehab. He was extremely calm, very normal, and very healthy looking. This current interview was disturbing. Obviously, he's aged but, his whole character was completely different. He appeared anxious, he was smoking, and even talking while holding the cigarette in his mouth using just his lips.

He indicates several times that he truly believes he's amazing, by talking extremely high of himself. You can watch some of it at this link. I'm sure the whole thing will be uploaded soon, if it's not already by the time I get done with this post. He's very narcissist, which is expected of a Hollywood actor but, he's quite over the top.

Sheen also said he was suing the studio for their decision to shut down the show and that, he will apologize by saying that he's sorry he didn't realize they were so sensitive. Does Charlie make a point? Were the folks too sensitive? He makes the claim that shutting down the show hurts everyone. Well, this is true but, he seems to think it was only about the comments he made. What he fails to recognize is that other things had occurred prior to this and they didn't feel him to be worth the risk anymore.

Comment below. What did you think of the interview?

Michele Bachmann Interview

www.parcbench.com

In an interview with Steven Rosenblum, Bachmann says that de-funding Obamacare will not be a possibility. She says that the bill made the funding a law and to try an prevent funding goes directly against that. Essentially, the demonrats had already thought of that strategy and were 2 steps ahead. Isn't that lovely?

She points out that it will be necessary for the Republicans to win the triple crown in 2012, in order to repeal the bill.

Rachel Maddow- Jon Stewart Interview

Highlights:

Rachel has to ask how the left shuts people up? Does she just not pay attention to anything?

Jon sounds fairly reasonable. I have to agree with some of his points. He actually confronts her with her coverage, and MSNBC of dismissing people who are on the right. I am quite impressed with what he is saying here. Although, I love Fox News.

Clarence Thomas

CBS News

Since Clarence Thomas is back in the news, due to his wife asking for an apology from Anita Hill, I figured I would go over this story again. I was in high school when all this stuff originally went on. I didn't pay much attention to any of it. I knew sexual harassment had become quite the topic of discussion during the 90's. That was about all I knew concerning any of this.

Later on, I would slowly learn more about this issue and found it shocking that people were angry about Justice Thomas, even though there was really nothing other than a "she said, he said" allegation. It surprised me that things had even gone as far as they did.

I tend to agree with Laura, who actually worked for Thomas.

No one really knows for sure what happened here, to be fair, but Anita Hill did lie about her previous employment history. She was fired from her previous job and, during the Senate hearing, she said she was not.

According to Clarence Thomas, he hired Anita Hill at the urging of a friend because an official of the law firm at which she worked had advised her to leave.

According to Ms. Hill — both then and now — she was not "asked to leave" the law firm but was "in good standing" at the time.

This too was not just a question of "he said" and "she said." An affidavit sworn by a former partner in that law firm supported Clarence Thomas' version. That was ignored by most of the media.

It's also true that democrats had absolutely no problems with SEVERAL allegations that were made about Clinton. In his case, it wasn't just one woman making claims of sexual harassment. It's interesting that sexual allegations only matter when there is a conservative involved.

Also from the article:
In another instance, there was already hard evidence but it too was ignored. Clarence Thomas said that Anita Hill had initiated a number of phone calls to him, over the years, after she had left the agency where they both worked. She said otherwise. But a phone log from the agency showed that he was right.
Does this mean she lied about everything? I don't know but, no other allegations have ever been made about Thomas, and there were no other witnesses to anything that Anita Hill was accusing him of doing.

I believe Justice Thomas, not just because of ideological reasons but, because I believe he's proven himself to be a great man of integrity.

Counterinsurgency and McChrystal

Click title of post for full interview done by Rolling Stone Magazine and General McChrystal.

Counterinsurgency or, COIN is the strategy that is being used in the war in Afghanistan. It is supported by General McChrystal and Obama.

In this recent interview conducted by Rolling Stone Magazine, McChrystal reveals his frustration with Washington and his difficulties with convincing our men on the ground that we are following a good strategy to defeat al-Qaeda.

The overall tone of the story is one of gloom and doom. The writer is quite negative towards the war and, makes a point of making the reader feel as though there is no hope for the US to win this war.

It does appear to be true that perhaps the US is being too unrealistic when it comes to winning the hearts and minds in Afghanistan. The purpose of the counterinsurgency is to slowly root out al-Qaeda and, win the support of Afghan citizens.

The aftermath of this article has been one of anger from Obama. General McChrystal is out. It is now being reported that he will be handing in his resignation.

After reading the full article, I cannot quite make heads or tails of what to think. Why on earth would McChrystal be talking to Rolling Stone Magazine, a magazine known for publishing the most anti-American rhetoric, along with general hatred of anything that doesn't fall under the category of ultra-liberal ideology?  I have a sneaking suspicion that the idea behind this article was to create a fallout of some sort. Was it Rolling Stone, or was it General McChrystal himself, that wanted to precipitate a reaction?

Surely, there is something else going on here but, I also feel as though our troops to do not trust this current administration, be it Obama directly, or the people around him.

Putting all this aside, the question remains- can the war in Afghanistan be won? What will victory "look" like? According to this article, the answer is a resounding, "no!" Is Rolling Stone the source that I trust to tell me this war is hopeless? I can tell you, my answer is no. Still, it's hard not to at least consider their opinion.

I want to know more. I want to know what the soldiers think about Obama and how he is running things. It is clear they are not supporting the rules of engagement, which tell them not to fire until fired upon, along with...

One soldier shows me the list of new regulations the platoon was given. "Patrol only in areas that you are reasonably certain that you will not have to defend yourselves with lethal force," the laminated card reads. For a soldier who has traveled halfway around the world to fight, that's like telling a cop he should only patrol in areas where he knows he won't have to make arrests. "Does that make any f****** sense?" asks Pfc. Jared Pautsch. "We should just drop a f****** bomb on this place. You sit and ask yourself: What are we doing here?"
How are we to fight a war with one hand tired behind our backs? The answer is simple, you can't. I have no idea what the solution is here. I only know that I'm not going to base my belief on this interview.

Michael Savage - The Playboy Interview

I just got done reading the interview in Playboy. I still want to buy the issue, to see it in print and, have a nice picture of Michael.

I did not care for the introduction of this interview, which Michael has already complained about on his radio show.

Contributing Editor David Hochman spent more than 16 hours interviewing Savage. Says Hochman, “I can’t remember a more difficult interview. Savage was a fine host, but his opinions are extreme to the point of being poison. Much of the time I hated him. He’s maddeningly bullheaded and closed-minded. But he was just as leery of me. Even when we were laughing I knew he was thinking, Liberal vermin media.”

Every time I hear a liberal accuse someone of being "closed-minded," it's like hearing nails going down a chalk board. Oh, the irony! Let me get this straight, YOU don't understand the way I think, I don't understand the way you think, yet, I'm the ONLY one who's being closed-minded? If those are the rules, then they need to work for the liberal too. He/she is ALSO "closed-minded" but, most of them are too ignorant, too hostile, and too illogical to see the folly of their argument.

So, as for the interview, the questions were clearly slanted. It's extremely obvious the man interviewing wasn't just playing devil's advocate; he clearly thought Savage was in the wrong. It did seem as though they allowed Savage to talk and have his say, in all fairness. I was actually pretty disappointed in Savage's extremely harsh language during the interview. Wow. As smart as Savage is, it didn't come across well at all.

Other than that, he addresses some issues that normally are not brought up on the radio. Things like: Ginsberg, the naked picture, the trip to Fiji, how he met his wife, all of which are very interesting.

Too much was focused on the gay issue but, I think, for the most part Savage was able to explain himself. He even admitted to his wife disagreeing with him about the topic of gay "marriage."

You can read the interview in full here.
