The Verdict Is In -- Jodi Arias Is Guilty

Wednesday, the verdict day finally arrived. Those of us that have been following the trial have anxiously awaited the verdict. Many of us had either prayed and chatted on Facebook expressing our hope for a guilty verdict. For me, and I think many others, this was more than Jodi being found guilty. This was about our ultimate faith the American Justice System. After the acquittal Casey Anthony many Americans had lost all faith in juries. My goodness. What kind of a jury could be so idiotic to think that a woman who knows her daughter is dead, then goes out and parties for 30 days, gets a tattoo, doesn't report anything to the authorities, and carries on with her life like nothing happened while continuing to lie, lie, and lie some more did not kill her daughter? Unbelievable, inexcusable stupidity was expressed by that jury when they let her walk. That particular case sucked the life out of me. I remember being pregnant when I had heard that poor Caylee went missing and her mother didn't even care. No emotions of sadness. Casey merely became mad because she was in jail and HER life had been taken away, no concern over her daughter's life whatsoever.

Conrad Murray Found Guilty?!?!

Children everywhere breathed a sigh of relief when Michael Jackson died. Thank goodness for Conway Murray. Unfortunately, like most brain-dead juries in America, his jury found him guilty.

A jury of seven men and five women deliberated for less than two days before convicting the celebrity doctor in Jackson’s 2009 death.

I was expecting them to give the man an award.

In all seriousness, this was an accident, not a crime with intent to kill. He should have never stood trial. Where is the accountability on Jackson's part? This was his request and this was his doing. Why is anyone else responsible for HIS actions? He was an adult.

I used to be a huge fan but, once you diddle children, that is between you and G-d and I do not want any part of it. I have NO sympathy or empathy for Jackson and I'm glad he is gone and no longer able to hurt his children or other innocent children.

New York Bomb Plot Trial - Four Found Guilty

In May 2009, four men were arrested for placing explosives that were located near New York synagogues. They also had plans to shoot down military aircraft. Today, the federal court found these men guilty.

Defense lawyers said their clients were improperly lured into the case by an overzealous paid government informant and said they would likely appeal following a trial that was closely watched as a test for the entrapment defense.

The four men involved and who face life in prison include, James Cromitie, 44, David Williams, 29, Onta Williams, 34, and Laguerre Payen, 29.

Cromitie has been accused of being motivated by his anti-Jewish bias as well as a desire to participate in a holy war.

"Homegrown terrorism is a serious threat, and today's convictions affirm our commitment to do everything we can to protect against it," Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said in a statement. "The defendants in this case agreed to plant bombs and use missiles they thought were very real weapons of terrorism."

A second trial is coming. This one may include additional drama by prosecutors calling more witnesses and, by the defense putting up Rod himself.

Rahm Emanuel and Tony Rezko were not originally called to the stand in the first trial. This is because, they are not terribly credible witnesses however, they are key witnesses within the case and, this next time around, the prosecutors may consider putting them on the stand. 


Another problem the prosecution had was the confusion of the trail. Many of the jurors were confused, and said it was difficult to follow. 


Blago appears to be tapped out, and may be unable to keep his team of lawyers. A second trial may require public defenders. 


During this first trial, it appears as though a lone juror was the one who had dug their heels in, refusing to see the obvious- that Blago is a corrupt politician. I had a feeling it would be just one juror and, it wouldn't surprise me if Blago, or someone from his team is behind this. That is how truly corrupt I believe this man to be. 


I am not surprised by the fact that most this jury found Blago guilty. The man is guilty. Let's hope they might even be able to show that he tampered with this one juror. That would be another charge for him.
