It's About That Time...

Yes, I'm anxious and ready for this Tuesday to be over. I'm excited and nervous and happy and overjoyed. I cannot look at polls. I don't even care. I'm ready to vote FOR Trump. I'm not voting against Hillary - I'm voting FOR a man who I see as being the best opportunity America has for healing this nation. For all his flaws, the man is a winner and I believe he's determined to set the country moving in a positive direction that will ultimately lift all of us up and not collectively bring us down.

Whoever you vote for, make sure you are voting FOR that person.

If you haven't figured out who you will vote for...

Make the decision based on facts and not conspiracies. I know both the left and right has been hammered with one conspiracy after the next - I urge you to pay no mind to that gibbering. Focus on what has been laid out for you, the facts that you can verify, and discover which candidate agrees with you the most on what you believe.

You really should vote. I know many of you out there might be saying, "I'm not voting because I can't vote for either of these two clowns," or some other similar phrase. I understand but at the same time, your apathy is what allows the system to stay the same. Trump has at least a realistic shot at winning and a vote FOR him will at the very least shake things up in Washington. I urge you not be discouraged. Many people would love for you to feel this way and to feel hopeless but don't. We are not going to fix everything overnight and there will never be a candidate that will fill the role of Calgon's promise to take you away. This isn't Oz. There are no red slippers for heel-clicking. This is reality and you must deal with it - one step at a time.

For me, I know Trump is not this nation's savior. He will not get into the Oval Office and fix every problem. There's no human being that will do such a thing but, I do believe he will be able to at least accomplish a few of the goals that he has proposed and for me, that's good enough. I'm not seeking a hero; I'm just looking for a leader who believes in America.

I haven't been this excited since Reagan!

Trump 2016 "Let's do this!"

Picking Up the Pieces and Moving Forward

Election night was tough for many of us, especially myself. I had prepared for the night for so long. I was absolutely optimist, calling for Romney to win in a total landslide. I even thought he could pull off major surprises like picking up IL and CA. In my mind, there was no way anyone was really going to go inside that voting booth and pull the lever for Obama. How could anyone be so misinformed, misguided, ignorant? Not possible in my mind.

Well, I was wrong and not only was I wrong, I was terribly wrong. Obama was re-elected; I had to deal with the fact that I was actually living in a dream world. Our country has not only gone far left, much more than I ever thought was possible but, there are seriously too many people in this country who are not paying any attention, yet they do believe they are informed because they watch MTV, VH1, The Daily Show, and The Colbert Report. I suppose I should not forget to mention MSNBC, the station that continually has their nose straight up the asses of democrats. These stations and "news" (I use that term LOOSELY), programs sing the praise of liberalism (mental-disorder), daily and do so with comedy as well as mis-characterizations of the Republican Party. They rarely make attempts to analyze any liberal beliefs, nor do they attempt to explain why they believe their ideas to be good for the country. Instead they are fixated on attacking those of  us on the right by ridiculing us and associating us with negative labels that are grossly inaccurate.

After having a bit of a confrontation of Facebook with a group of mindless liberals, I became aware of how utterly ignorant the people who voted for Obama are. Of course I knew this beforehand but, I had figured that perhaps many of them would have formulated better arguments to justify their foolish decision to re-elect  one of the worst presidents I have witnessed in my lifetime. He is worse than Carter and Clinton. After his horrible economic policy, shoving Obamacare down our throats, Fast and Furious, and the recent attack in Benghazi, it is clear the man is not only incompetent, he has no regard for the rule of law. He rules like a dictator and for people not to recognize this was somewhat a punch in my chest.

So, after having a bit of a pity party, doing a little crying, getting a bit angry, and posting on Facebook my arguments supporting my anger, I am back to where I need to be -- calm and focused. This election revealed many things:

First, conservatives and Republicans still make up half of this country. We are however losing the cultural war. As I have stated in my previous post about libertarians being the cancer of the right, it's true that many people have given up on moral values and have opted to support moral relativism offering no judgment on people's decisions pertaining to gay marriage and drug use, those being the top two "hot-topic" cultural discussions. We must gain control over this issue. Without a moral society supporting moral behavior, there can be no freedom. Only those that understand the importance of dignity and working toward living righteously can maintain a government that will support a healthy, strong, and free society.

Second, liberals are MEAN. This election has magnified this characteristic in them. Their arguments and presentation of their deceiving, holier-than-thou ideology has become tainted with anger and outbursts. Their rage is misdirected and their emotional expression is erratic. Their justification is based upon a house of cards, not rooted in any logical or rational means. It is time for us to learn how to communicate in different ways that will break down these walls that they have purposely imprisoned themselves in.

Third, liberals do not know what they are doing. They do not understand logic, action-reaction principle, nor do they know actual facts. They know half-truths, partial information, and they have memorized the lies that are fed to them by the liberal media. They seem to think that taxing, healthcare, government regulations, and other "feel good" types of legislation have no consequences. It is because of this that we have learned they do not even realize the very things they push for, will be the very things that destroy them. We must help people understand that every action has a reaction; every "change" that is supported doesn't just work for or against one group of people but that it will affect the whole. We must convey our root message that we are not our own little islands but rather connected and make up parts of the whole. People must understand that change only comes from within and that change must be found in morality. When individuals are moral the society we live in can become peaceful.

Finally, we must focus on communication. On the internet we have the opportunity to speak with people in ways that are not possible in everyday life. Sometimes this can be a good thing and sometimes this can be horrible. We must understand that we do not have the benefit of voice inflection or body language. It is one thing to discuss issues among friends in person or even on the telephone but those discussions allow for multiply forms of expression. When we only have our words out there for people to read, we must be use our words productively.

As for myself, I can say for years that I have failed many times in my communications over the internet whether they be on Facebook, Twitter, or political forums. I have most certainly became enraged, insulting, demeaning, condescending, and just plain nasty because of my frustration towards those that are repeating propaganda that is destroying the moral and political fabric that makes this nation exceptional. I am beginning to mature in a way that helps me realize how very important it is to keep my cool, stick with facts, and portray myself in a more patient manner. We must all remember that it is not the people we are angry at. They are merely like everyone else -- projecting what they have absorbed in their lives. It is what they have been surrounded by that is what angers us. So we must take a cue and learn from them what has made them come to the conclusions they have. This might give us some insight into helping chose our words in a way that will force them to consider TRUTH. Some of them have traveled so far down a path of lies and destruction, they simply do not even hear that bell of truth. Truth is only found to those that seek it, it doesn't just happen or come about so, when we chose our words they must have meaning.

The Republicans are always working against corrupt forces. Those forces who work against humanity: government schooling, liberals who continuously attack their characters (because they themselves represent poor, corrupt characters in arrested states of development in spirituality) and not actual ideas, the liberal media (public airways, newspapers, and the internet), and yet we still maintain fifty percent of the population.

When liberals are actually confronted in an appropriate manner matching their level of understanding, only then are they forced to actually confront how they really feel. We must focus on doing one thing and that is, get them to question why it is they feel a certain way. We know as conservatives, we are right. Period. We move with confidence knowing our logic prevails always.

Some of us think in big pictures while others are focused on details. This can be broken down into federal government vs. state government, or society and culture vs. the individual. Do you understand why having a balance between both of these worlds is not only necessary but also moral?

We must focus on both the individual and the big picture. We must ask questions of ourselves if we want liberals to question themselves, so put your own views to the test. Have you had the experience of really understanding why it is conservatives are correct or are you doing what so many on the left do and that is just repeating ideas you hear from others? I am fortunate enough to have the experience of moving from liberalism to growing up and being a conservative. I know how many of them think. We all need to understand so that we can learn to better convey our beliefs.

We must be prepared with facts and information. This means we have to spend time researching. I'm not sure how responsible you are but I do try very hard not to say anything that I know isn't true however, I have been duped  into repeating bad stories, just like everyone else. News organizations have all been known to go after a story that turned out to be something different. It does happen but we need to try and do our best to make sure that it happens very little and the only way that happens is when you check the facts from different sources.

Our main focus should always be LOVE. G-d IS love. Our love must override all but what is love? It seems to me that liberals especially do not have a clue as to what love is. They don't seem to understand that having self-interest is not selfish. Self-love is the only way to love others. Love is forgiving and not about revenge.

"No, no, no -- don't boo, vote," Obama said. "Vote. Voting is the best revenge."

There is easy love and there is tough love. Love is not tolerating immoral behavior for the sake of tolerance. It is evil to watch and say nothing. Tolerance is neutral, it can be an evil or moral act. We must force people to question this of themselves. Why do they believe all tolerance is good when they themselves will not tolerate everything?

Many liberals will "give" so much of themselves to the point where it deteriorates their own dignity. Loving yourself if the fist step to understanding what love is. Often times when I am conversing with liberals telling me about their lives and their problems they will reveal to me how much they repeatedly give to an individual. They do this to a point where they knowingly give until it destroys them. Now they have an excuse for being a victim and complaining about how someone "used" them. They immediately become frustrated with the world and this is what produces their cynicism yet, they are the ones who produced the cynicism themselves. They don't love themselves, therefore they never really had any love to give, and when nothing came back towards them, they became angry.

For many, this behavior is not conscience. They are simply unable to identify patterns. To them, their actions should produce what they want only. They ignore the fact that it is THEIR actions that need to change, not others reactions. Instead of adjusting their behaviors, they move on and continue to make the same mistakes effectively martyring themselves for gain of sympathy from their willing friends who are also robbing themselves by supporting their behavior. The lack of awareness is produced when the mind is divided. The ego is different from the true self and as a consequence, they cannot bare to hear that it was ultimately their actions that produced the results they claim they didn't want.

An example of this I have heard countless times is from liberal women complaining about men who have done them wrong. They buy men things, take care of them, run errands, watch their children, and then one day out of the blue they decide they are being wronged. Perhaps one of their meddling girlfriends told them not to put up with "this or that" and this initial push ignites a fire that creates an argument. The man, who may or may not be taking advantage of this women, is then forced to go on the defense, not understanding why this women waited 2 years of her life to say anything or complain. He may be confused and angry himself but he certainly doesn't feel responsible at that point. His defense could be rather negative and thereby his treatment of her will not improve. The woman will begin to show her bitterness and make outrageous demands at this point, pushing her man further away. If he does comply, it will never be good enough. She has set up a trap for her man -- damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. As a result, the relationship will deteriorate and the woman will blame the man for being mean and a whole host of other complaints that have nothing to do with him but rather herself. Because she never loved herself, she allowed herself to "give" to a point that was self-destructive. The cycle will continue in her life with anyone and everyone she comes across.

Not only that but her liberal friends will praise her, telling her she did nothing wrong and men are evil. Men are evil. This is something I hear all the time from women and not only is the statement patently false, it is divisive and dangerous.

Liberals' minds are divided in so many ways and this is evident by the fact that they take such great pains to devalue the lives of others as they pertain to a sex or gender, a lifestyle, a philosophy, a class, or even a religion. They do this out of bitterness. Yes, their beliefs are based on personal experiences but those experiences are the ones that they brought upon themselves.

Imagine how much different the situation could have been had she simply discussed how she was feeling with her husband or boyfriend. Perhaps she could have told him that she was feeling a little overwhelmed and would be interested in doing more for herself instead. If the man was using her, he would have the opportunity to leave her at that point and this would be good for both parties involved. She could begin to care for herself and then seek out a man who loves himself and create a relationship where true love could be found, or perhaps he could agree and be happy that she is truly changing in a positive manner. True love is where both parties love themselves and each other. When things go wrong, you don't blame "all of men" or "all of women," you examine your OWN behavior and think about what you should have done first. The answer is always the same thing --- LOVE yourself. Know what love is. Know what it is that you want from love and then behave yourself in that same manner.

Liberals want their goodies from government. They go out and vote for their man and support them so that they can get something from them. Ultimately, as we have seen throughout history a population will beg for help, until they can complain about it. Right now we see people asking for more government to come into their lives. They don't love government because they don't even love themselves. If they loved themselves, they would be more interested in doing right for themselves and not what the government can do right for them. This thought process is that of a divided mind. They don't view themselves as the government but another, separate entity, much like the woman who calls against "all men" as being separate from her. This is why only TRUE leaders preach of the importance of self-responsibility and being self-reliable because these characteristics are those that are developed from loving oneself. Only successful people have the ability to give so therefore we must support success.

I love the analogy that talks about being on a plane and the steward will explain that when the masks drop, the adult should secure his or her mask on first and then help the child seated next to them. Why? Simple. If you help the helpless first, there is a chance that it might not be successful on the first try. If it doesn't work, that eliminates needed time putting the adult at risk of passing out. If they pass out, so will the child...they both fall down. If the adult worries about themselves first, they can ensure that they will have the time and ability to help the child who is helpless. BOTH stand.

There is a hierarchy and there always has been; there always will be. Liberals are always trying to fight this, instead of embracing it. We must understand that it is a part of us and not separate from us. Once we begin to understand and embrace this, then we can begin to change and improve our lives, as well as helping others.

G-d is love and love is truth. Truth and love are light and that light is what liberals fear the most. They hate the light because the light exposes them for what they are. The woman I spoke of, she doesn't want love because she doesn't love herself and because of that same reason she also doesn't know love either. In the end, the situation was all about her and how she was being affected. It wasn't self-love but rather selfish. Think of the very wealthy who claim they want the government to tax them more so that the government can help the poor. What is it that stops them from pulling out a pen and writing a check themselves? Why does the government have to do what they can do themselves? Well, it's simple really, they don't see themselves as part of the poor but rather separate from them. We are not separated. We are all a part of the whole and if the likes of these people loved themselves they would be able to do what they ask the government to do for them.

So let us always remember that when we are dealing with liberals we must understand that many of them do not know what love is; they do not love themselves; they see themselves separate from others, not a part of them. We must show them the message of true love, not selfishness. We must help them understand that they need to stop worrying about others and worry about themselves. We simply cannot help anyone unless we help ourselves. The government is necessary but not to the point where it destroys us.

I do believe we can turn things around. I do believe that truth will always, eventually trump evil. I do believe we are in a cycle and right now, we may be on the downside of that cycle but this could be a great opportunity for us to regroup and examine ourselves so that we can get out the true message. The message of love is one that can ultimately win everyone over. It is G-d's message, the Lord's message, and the message that The Holy Spirit sends us daily. Most of all, pray. Even though the liberal is the very mind we are trying to save, they are still our enemies because they hate us. Pray for your enemies as the Lord instructed and be patient because they know not what they do-- just yet.

Gingrich Still Has a Chance?

That's the story today...(click title of this post). Gallup poll shows that Newt is gaining a bit of traction. According to Gingrich, he must win Georgia and he is banking on the South and Ohio. Next week may determine whether Gingrich will have made a comeback, or if he will need to bow out of the race.

I really am hoping he gains some momentum. I like Newt a lot more than I do Romney or Santorum. I guess Romney is not so bad but Santorum, while I love his message, is well known for being...corrupt. I just don't know how he is going to stand up against Obama.

Cain Reconsiders

Oh, no! More bad news for Cain as a new woman has now stepped forward claiming a 13-year long affair.

Ginger White from Atlanta is now claiming that her and Cain had an affair that lasted 13 years.
Mr. Cain denied the accusations from the Atlanta woman, Ginger White. But he acknowledged that the latest report of sexual misconduct might be more difficult to overcome, considering that the first voting is set to take place in five weeks at the Iowa caucuses. He said that he had not lost his enthusiasm to run, but suggested it was a distraction that could be difficult to recover from.
Ms. White came forth in an interview with Fox 5 Atlanta.
The station said that Ms. White produced cellphone bills that included 61 phone calls or text messages to and from a number she said was for Mr. Cain’s private cellphone. When the station sent a text message to the number, Mr. Cain called back and acknowledged knowing Ms. White.

I'm not sure what to think, other than being disappointed. I still support Cain but, I am wondering if he will be able to overcome all these allegations. Even if they are completely false, they have already tainted his candidacy.

Cain is reported to be reconsidering.

Who Will Republicans Run?

2012 is sneaking upon us and there is still that lingering question, if Obama is out, who is going to take his place? So far, the results have come up inconclusive.

Several Republicans pondering a run in 2012 are to speak this week to a large gathering of conservatives in Washington, a chance to test their messages and generate some buzz.

A year ahead of the first state voting contests to decide who will face Obama in November 2012, no prominent Republican has formally announced a candidacy and no potential candidate has emerged as a favorite.

But plenty of politicians who can envision themselves in the Oval Office are running underground campaigns, visiting early voting states, talking to fund-raisers, organizing staffs. The first announcements are expected by March.

The Conservative Political Action Conference is to hear from a number of potential candidates on Thursday, Friday and Saturday as conservatives who have been celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of conservative giant Ronald Reagan search for someone who can wave his banner.

"It's one of the first times that they get to showcase their actual credentials among key constituencies and generate publicity for themselves early on in the cycle," said Republican strategist Ron Bonjean.
Among the speakers are two former governors, Mitt Romney of Massachusetts and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota; former House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich and sitting governors Haley Barbour of Mississippi and Mitch Daniels of Indiana.

Gingrich and two other possibles, Representative Michelle Bachmann and former Senator Rick Santorum speak on Thursday.

Obama-Pelosi = REJECTED

AFP – US President Barack Obama admitted he suffered a "shellacking" in mid-term elections, but would...

With Tuesday's election results, it's clear the American people sent a message, "Stop screwing up our country Obama and Pelosi."

Fired from her job as speaker of the House, people are speculating as to whether Pelosi will bow out altogether.

"It feels bad," Obama said, digesting his defeat in a White House news conference setting the tone for a looming period of divided government and political confrontation in which he must now chart his 2012 re-election bid.

"There is no doubt that people's number-one concern is the economy, and what they were expressing great frustration about is the fact that we haven't made enough progress on the economy," Obama said.

"They don't see it... so I think I have got to take direct responsibility for the fact that we have not made as much progress as we need to make."

Whoa! He didn't blame Bush? Crazy.

House Minority Leader John Boehner, in line to replace the first woman speaker, Democrat Nancy Pelosi in January, said Obama must "change course."

"I think it's pretty clear that the Obama-Pelosi agenda is being rejected by the American people," Boehner told reporters, and called Obama's signature health reform law a "monstrosity."

Pelosi said Wednesday she had "no regrets" after strong Republican gains in the House of Representatives cut short her stint as the first female Speaker of the House.

Pelosi, 70, also acknowledged she had not decided what the future holds for her specifically, though she won reelection to a two-year House term representing her district in California.

"I'll have a conversation with my caucus, I'll have a conversation with my family, and pray over it, and decide how to go forward," Pelosi told ABC television. "But today isn't that day."

Whoa! Did she say she'd "PRAY over it"?!?! Wow...will the liberals go nuts over this comment and criticize her for talking to G-d?

GOP Picks Up 3 Senate Seats, Lose WV

AP – Former president Bill Clinton smiles as W.Va. Governor Joe Manchin campaigns at Tamarack in Beckley,

Arkansas, North Dakota and Indiana, Republicans picked up seats in the Senate. West Virgina was lost.

To gain the 10 seats they need for a Senate majority, Republicans will have to win all the remaining tight races, and pull off upsets in California and Washington.
Rand Paul of Kentucky and Marco Rubio of Florida rocked the GOP establishment last spring by routing leadership favorites in party primaries. Then they beat back Democrats' efforts to paint them as too extreme, winning comfortably on Tuesday.

Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln became the first senator to lose in the midterm elections, falling to GOP Rep. John Boozman in a state that President Barack Obama lost by 20 percentage points two years ago.
Here are a few interesting points:

_The Senate's most powerful member, Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, could lose to a political outsider, tea party champion Sharron Angle.

_A tempestuous three-way race in Alaska could allow Democrat Scott McAdams to win a once-hopeless race for GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski's seat. Murkowski is running a rare write-in campaign after losing the Republican primary to another tea partier, Joe Miller.

• Three-term Democrat Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin, was in severe danger of losing to GOP newcomer Ron Johnson.
Nevada, Colorado, Illinois and Pennsylvania are close races so, it may be some time before we get results.

Obama's Agenda At Risk

AP – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., left, listens as first lady Michelle Obama speaks during a

Good. I'm glad he's recognizing this. That's what happens when you try and shove your radical agenda down the American people's throats without having any courtesy of debate or, negotiations.

Even with voting already under way, President Barack Obama furiously worked the phones to urban-format radio stations Tuesday, arguing that his agenda would be "all at risk" if Republicans trampled Democrats.
"We need to keep moving forward, that's why I need folks to vote today," Obama told listeners to KPWR in Los Angeles.

Interrupting the music and chat of the station's morning show, Obama phoned in from the Oval Office to acknowledge voter frustration with the recession-bound economy — and say that even though he's not on the ballot, his agenda is.

"Are we taking the steps now to move us in the right direction, or are going to go back to the policies that got us into that mess in the first place?" he said.

Other calls went to radio stations in Las Vegas, Chicago and Jacksonville, Fla., with large African-American listenership. On Monday, Obama phoned a series of nationally syndicated radio programs.

Things to Watch For During the Election

No one is expecting democrats to gain ground. The question is how fall will they fall?

If the GOP can unseat Democratic Rep. Baron Hill in Indiana's always-hard-fought 9th congressional district, for example, that's a good sign for the expected Republican takeover of the House. And if they can capture all three seats they've got an eye on in Indiana, that could well signal a GOP hurricane.

Click title of post for the full story and more details concerning clues to watch for in the election.

A few tips on what to watch as the returns roll in Tuesday night (all times are EDT):

HOUSE

Expectations are high that Republicans will pick up at least the 40 seats they need to retake control of the House after four years of Democratic rule. That should start in the Midwest.

In Ohio, where polls close at 7:30 p.m., six Democratic-held seats are in jeopardy. In Pennsylvania and Illinois, where polls close at 8 p.m., 10 more are at risk.

If Midwestern incumbents such Joe Donnelly in Indiana and John Boccieri in Ohio fall, Republicans are probably headed for huge gains nationwide. Measure Democratic resilience if the party manages to hold on to a pair of imperiled Georgia seats, and if Rep. John Spratt can win a new term in South Carolina.

Worth watching in Florida (an 8 p.m. poll close): a rematch between Democratic Rep. Ron Klein and Republican Allen West. A loser two years ago, West rides anti-incumbent sentiment and is easily outspending his opponent.
SENATE

It would take a true blowout for Republicans to pick up the 10 Senate seats they need for control. The first should be an easy one, in Indiana. But if Paul can't keep Kentucky in the GOP column, it would be a sign of strength for Democrats and a symbolic setback for the tea party activist.

Republicans should have an easy time holding onto one of their own vacant seats in Ohio, where former Republican Rep. Rob Portman is favored. But keep an eye on West Virginia, another 7:30 poll close state, where Democratic Gov. Joe Manchin and Republican millionaire industrialist John Raese are tussling over the seat long held by the late Democrat Robert Byrd. A Republican victory there could keep alive GOP hopes of a majority.

Three-term Sen. Blanche Lincoln could be the first Senate Democratic incumbent to fall, when polls close in Arkansas at 8:30 p.m.

Polls close at 10 p.m. in the most closely watched race of the night: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's battle in Nevada against tea party favorite Sharron Angle.

Even if Republicans show huge strength, the nation still could go to sleep Tuesday night with unanswered questions about the makeup of the Senate: Polls don't close until 1 a.m. in Alaska, where it could take days or weeks to determine the winner of a three-way race for Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski's seat.

How long could the suspense drag on?

In 2006, it took until 8:30 p.m. the day after the election to determine that Democrats had taken control of the Senate from Republicans. And in 2008, it was nearly eight months after Election Day before it was determined that Democrat Al Franken had won Minnesota's Senate race, giving Democrats control of their 60th seat in the Senate, exactly the number needed to overcome a Republican filibuster.

You Blew It, Obama! Get Ready

AFP/Getty Images/File – Sharron Angle -- a favorite of the Tea Party movement -- speaks at a get-out-the-vote rally in Las Vegas,

Republicans everywhere are excited and ready to kick the democrats out of office.

Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate in 2008, said Tuesday's voting would be "a political earthquake" that would send a message to Obama.

"They're going to say, 'You blew it, President Obama. We gave you the two years to fulfill your promise of making sure that our economy starts roaring back to life again,'" she said of voters while appearing on "Fox News Sunday."

You have to wonder if this man really believes the crap he says:

"This election is a choice between the policies that got us into this mess and the policies that are leading us out of this mess," Obama told about 8,000 supporters in Cleveland, Ohio, in an auditorium that was about two-thirds full.
Last time I checked, tripling the national debt isn't a policy that will get us out of this mess. In fact, it just creates more of a mess. Oh, look; it did.

A Pew Research Center poll showed Republicans have a solid lead in congressional preferences, with 48 percent of likely voters saying they would back a Republican in their district to 42 percent who favor a Democrat. Two weeks ago, Republicans led by 50 percent to 40 percent.

In the Senate, Republicans probably need to string together wins in six of seven close races in California, Washington, Nevada, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Illinois and West Virginia to claim a majority.

Polls show Governor Joe Manchin in West Virginia, Senator Barbara Boxer in California and Senator Patty Murray in Washington, all Democrats, with slight leads in their Senate races.

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid trails slightly in final polls in his desperate re-election struggle with Republican Tea Party-favorite Sharron Angle in the most high-profile Senate race.

Democrats tried to paint a positive picture of what could be the party's worst election showing since 1994, when Republicans grabbed control of both houses of Congress.

Republicans Ready to Win

It is expected for Republicans to take over the House and gain in the Senate after elections next week.

Republicans are also headed to big gains in the Senate but are expected to fall short of picking up the 10 Democratic seats needed for a majority. To control the 100-member Senate, Republicans will need to sweep nearly every competitive race -- a difficult but not impossible task.

Republicans are also projected to win a majority of the 37 governors' races, giving them an edge in the once-a-decade process of redrawing congressional district boundaries that begins next year.

Of course, with these wins, we can expect to stop the bleeding, the damage that the Obama administration seems hell bent on doing to this country. Things will finally look up for all of us.

"A few weeks ago, we found ourselves on the precipice of victory. Now we are closing the deal," Pete Sessions, head of the Republican House campaign committee, said in a memo to reporters. "Nancy Pelosi's days as speaker of the House are numbered."

I think this is probably the biggest win for the country overall. Get Pelosi OUT! We will all be better off.

Looking For a Reason to Fire Williams

AP – News analyst Juan Williams appears on the 'Fox & friends' television program in New York, Thursday, Oct.

That is what Juan Williams is now saying about his recent firing from NPR.

"I think they were looking for a reason to get rid of me," he said Friday. "They were uncomfortable with the idea that I was talking to the likes of Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity." Hannity hosts another Fox show.

Juan Williams was unceremoniously fired from NPR for making a remark on The O'Reilly Factor that was considered by them to be bigoted. The remark was simply one that most Americans feel - that he feels a little uncomfortable seeing Muslims in full garb while he was flying on a plane.

"I mean, look, Bill, I'm not a bigot. You know the kind of books I've written about the civil rights movement in this country," Williams said Monday. "But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."

The tension between NPR and Williams is nothing new. NPR has gone so far as to ask when Williams appears on Fox, that the network not associate his name with their network.

Again, we have a situation where conservatives are backing a man who is actually liberal - he's not a conservative by any stretch. When it comes to free speech however, it's been made clear by the liberals that they are just NOT tolerant of anyone's views other than their own.

In response to the firing, South Carolina Republican U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint planned to introduce legislation to end federal funding for NPR, his spokesman Wesley Denton said Thursday night. Denton said the senator would expand upon his proposal in a statement on Friday.

Thank goodness someone is putting this motion forward. It has been a long time coming.

This issue here is just another reason why it's so important to get the Democrats out of office come November. Then, we will be able to stop funding for this pathetic network, NPR. They only allow for one view. Why do we even have a dime of tax payer money funding them? They want one view, like the other networks, that's perfectly fine. They can do that on their own, without the government.

Federal grants provide less than 2 percent — or $3.3 million — of NPR's $166 million annual budget. It is funded primarily by its affiliates, corporate sponsors and major donors. Federal funding of public media has long been questioned by some in Congress.

Williams is now with Fox Network. He received a $2 million contract with them.

CAIR Debates Juan Williams

More on Juan's response to his firing:

"It's not a bigoted statement,” he told Fox News in an interview the cable news network ran throughout the day. “In fact, in the course of this conversation with Bill O'Reilly, I said we have an obligation as Americans to be careful to protect the constitutional rights of everyone in our country and to make sure that we don't have any outbreak of bigotry. But that there's a reality. You cannot ignore what happened on 9/11, and you cannot ignore the connection to Islamic radicalism, and you can't ignore the fact of what has even recently been said in court with regard to this is the first drop of blood in a Muslim war in America."

Pelosi Better Watch Out

 AP

Pelosi may be in for some serious competition in San Francisco. Imagine that!

It's not your everyday congressional race when the Republican candidate welcomes the support of Cindy Sheehan, the antiwar gadfly, and Matt Gonzalez, who was Ralph Nader's running mate in 2008. Yet that is exactly what is happening in San Francisco, where Republican John Dennis is challenging House Speaker Pelosi in what may be Pelosi's first-ever truly competitive race.

Cindy Sheehan? You've got to be kidding me.

Anyway, it's nice to see some hope, even if it's a tiny spark of hope, that Nancy could get thrown out on her butt in Novemeber.

Since August, Dennis has raised three times as much money as Pelosi, and the $2.1 million he's collected so far is in the ballpark with her total. Dennis cites internal polling from a few months ago showing that roughly 35 percent of independents and Democrats in the district are growing tired of Pelosi's leadership, and the Dennis campaign is conducting a new poll that they hope will show support growing.

It could definitely be a stretch but, one things for sure, Pelosi will be dethroned from her post as Speaker of the House. Thank heavens.

Republican Victories Anticipated

Things are looking more and more in a positive direction for this country.

In the final survey before Election Day, likely voters say the GOP would do a better job than Democrats on handling the economy, creating jobs and running the government.
Click title of post for full story.

Obama's numbers are dismal and people are not impressed with what the democrats have done so far controlling Congress.

"If we get some new blood in there who will do what the people want, maybe this can get turned around," said Sharon Klawender, 70, who lives in rural Kingston in Michigan, one of the most economically troubled states. She hopes Republicans will "get things back under control."

Make no mistake, the Republican party isn't exactly popular either. It just seems as though more and more people are not appreciating the "change" Obama has brought us.

_50 percent say they will back the GOP candidate in their House district; 43 percent say they'll support the Democrat. The edge has slightly narrowed over the past month as Democrats presumably have grown more energized.
_61 percent expect the GOP to win control of Congress; 33 percent think Democrats will maintain control.
_49 percent want to see their House representatives re-elected; 44 percent want to fire them.
_54 percent disapprove of Obama's job performance; 45 percent approve.
_Just 20 percent approve of how Congress is doing its job.
_59 percent think the country is headed in the wrong direction; 39 percent say it's going the right way.
_52 percent have a favorable impression of the GOP; 44 percent view the Democratic Party positively.

Let's hope for the best!

Obama Raising Money For Democrats

AP – ** HOLD FOR RELEASE UNTIL 12:01 AM EDT TUESDAY, OCT. 19, 2010 ** In this March 10, 2009, combination

Obama is out and about campaigning and trying to raise money for his fellow democrats.

The president is to raise money for Senate Democrats' campaign committee Monday night at a private event in Rockville, Md., a Washington suburb. Guests were paying the maximum of $30,400 a ticket to listen to him speak at a reception at the home of Rajeev and Seema Sharma.

Who in the world would pay that much money to listen to this guy speak? I know he's the president but, you already know what he's going to say, "Oh, those bad Republicans, they are selling snake oil" and, "We need to continue on to ensure the hope and change we promised."

Yeah, well, we lost all hope with you and it is true, we got plenty of change! We're all on foodstamps and unemployed. Thanks Obama.

Midterm Election Strategies

With elections coming up, it is being speculated that Republicans are now downplaying what was previously stated, that they would guarantee that big wins would come about in November. They don't want Republicans to think it's a slam dunk. They don't want to take the current political climate for granted.

It's clear that Democrats would also like to have Republicans believe they will win, thinking some will stay home for election day and not vote. At the same time, they are trying to fire up their base.

Click title of post for full story on the AP.

With less than 3 weeks, it's clear that Republicans will need to stay motivated and, rather than concentrating on getting Democrats out, the vote needs to be a positive one. No one ever wins if you're voting against someone and, that has always been true concerning American politics.

2012 Who Will Republicans Run Against Obama?

So, I hear my fellow conservatives saying that Obama will only be a one term president. I feel they are correct. However, I can't help but think, "Who? Who are we going to nominate that will be able to beat Obama?"

Yes, it seems as though any mammal will do. I mean Obama is just terrible but, there's a danger in being too confident. Look what happened in the primaries last time. McCain? McCain was the nominee? Huh? I never thought he'd be the nominee. The man is a total RINO as far as most people are concerned. I had much more faith in my party, that we would elect someone with actual conservative values, and someone that was consistent.

The Republican Party has many people I think would be able to beat Obama but, who are these darlings of the right? Who are the ones that are standing out as potential leaders of the free world?

1) Sarah Palin? Well, there are many on the right that love the beauty queen with balls. She has impressed many with her strong values. Still, she's quite the lightening rod. Sure, a female president would be a great achievement for this country but, will she be able to win over enough people to put her in the highest office of the land?

The problem I see with her is she's sort of the Hilary Clinton of the right. Those that like her, love her but, those that hate her...boy oh boy, they hate her. Let's be honest though, the whole "writing on the hand, when you could have just brought out a note card" incident was, childish. I like Sarah, I really do but, presidential material? I'm not feeling it.

2) Mike Huckabee. I'm a Mike fan! This is a man I'm pulling for. I really like him. There's a few issues I'm not too sure of with him but, no one is going to agree with you 100 percent. I think he's likable, he really appears to have some character, he's an actual conservative, and he's clean, meaning I don't know of him associated with anything corrupt.

I would really like to see him run in 2012. I think he'd be great for the country. He's just a stand up kind of man.

3) David Petraeus. Hmmm...I've seen this name tossed around. I'm not too sure about this one. I wasn't impressed by his lack of judgment for having a Rolling Stone reporter follow him around and, do a story about him and the war. I mean, Rolling Stone? Really? Who didn't see that fall out coming from miles away?

Still, he seems to have an overall interesting character about him and, Americans love and respect a man who's been to war and, served his country.

4) Ron Paul. I don't know. Lot's of friends I have like this man but, I'm still up in the air with him. I like the fact that he didn't run as a 3rd party last time. I respect that. Still, not sure I'm in agreement with what appears to be his isolation policies.

5) Mitt Romney. Well, I wasn't too big on him last time, I doubt my feelings are going to change later on. He's a decent guy. I have much respect but, he's too liberal for me. He doesn't seem like he would be good for the party overall but, what do I know?

6) Jeb Bush. I really like Jeb Bush. There's a big problem here. His last name is Bush and unfortunately, he just might not have the ability to win because of it. Could the country be ready for another Bush? The man is conservative. He's a really great politician but, his last name is Bush. Did I already say that?

7) Newt Gingrich. I like Newt. I like his politics and I respect him but, let's face it, his personal life is screwed.

8) What about Paul Ryan? I like this guy a lot. Yes, he's young but, I haven't heard anything bad about him. I love watching him. Okay, okay, I'm a woman....he looks good. More than that, he's conservative. Looks like he voted YES for the automobile industry bailout. Uh-oh but, over all, his record is pretty darn right. I like him.

Okay...add or subtract your nominations below. Let's find someone that will put this country back on track, darnit!
