Dr. Benjamin Carson Speech

I ran across this speech on Facebook. This occurred at the National Prayer Breakfast, Feb 7th, 2013.

Dr. Carson makes some amazing points about the current state of our country and offers some insight into what deep problems our country currently faces. Using his role model's (Jesus') words and wisdom he further sheds light onto the simplicity of the Lord's teachings and how they can help us find better solutions.

Education and spiritual growth are the reason for our country's past successes and we should continue to embrace what has lifted us before. He rightly points out how sensitive so many of us have become and how difficult it is for anyone to speak without offending others. True tolerance is about respecting other people's views that might not necessarily agree with our own.

What is most striking about Dr. Carson's speech is his continuing mention of working together, and not allowing issues to divide us. He acknowledges the importance of both American political parties but emphasizes their equality.

Dr. Carson's speech was refreshing and logical, as well as spiritually moving. Obama sat fairly still during the speech and at some points he actually seemed to look offended or maybe that's just what I saw.

I think most people are expecting this to go viral, as it should. It really is a must see and worth the time to listen and watch.

Michelle Obama Get NAACP "All Fired Up"

The NAACP is evidently going to sign some resolution, that will condemn the Tea Party. They are basically saying that...wait for it...it's a total shocker...


























The Tea Party is RACIST!!!!



I know, I was totally shocked they would even say this. I'm even further shocked that someone like Michelle Obama, who has always shown her tolerance of everyone, would push for the NAACP to proclaim this. [/sarcasm]

Tea Party members have used "racial epithets," have verbally abused black members of Congress and threatened them, and protestors have engaged in "explicitly racist behavior" and "displayed signs and posters intended to degrade people of color generally and President Barack Obama specifically," according to the proposed resolution. 

"We're deeply concerned about elements that are trying to move the country back, trying to reverse progress that we've made," NAACP spokeswoman Leila McDowell told ABC News. "We are asking that the law-abiding members of the Tea Party repudiate those racist elements, that they recognize the historic and present racist elements that are within the Tea Party movement." 

Gee, don't you think the people in the Tea Party would come out and say that they do not support racism? The major problem here? These accusations are completely FALSE! There has been no tapes, video, nothing, that even confirms this crap! You would really have to be completely stupid to be in a crowd and, yell out racial epithets. I mean, come on! Can't these people find something else to do?

We don't like Obama. We could care less what color he was. Why is it always race with these people? It's a complete utter joke but, on the other hand, I could care less. Go ahead and keep making your "racial arguments." They are so old and tired. People everywhere are catching on. Some folks will always be stupid but, the smart people, the ones that are paying attention, they are starting to see through this crap. The NAACP and Michelle are more than welcome to make fools of themselves; that is exactly what they are doing.

Obama's Speech Vs. Reality

The AP is running a story that is almost shocking. They are actually putting Obama's words to a challenge. You can click on the title of the post to read the entire article. It's well worth the read.

The article points out several concerns. Obama says BP is going to take responsibility for things through a third party of some sort. If it's not the government that will get involved, then how can we know if BP will even comply?

THE FACTS: Early on, the government established a command center and put Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen in charge of coordinating the overall spill response. But officials also repeatedly have emphasized that BP was "responsible" and they have relied heavily on BP in making decisions from hiring cleanup workers to what oil dispersing chemicals to use. Local officials in the Gulf region have complained that often they don't know who's in charge - the government or BP.
