Well, it is now legal for citizens in Colorado to toke up and smoke some marijuana for recreational purposes. I'm not exactly sure what to think of this news. It will be very interesting to see how it all plays out for them and the rest of the country will certainly be watching. In fact, I'm fairly certain that many states will be eager to follow their lead.
The Debate
The election of 2012 will be rather significant. It will determine if this great experiment will continue or be destroyed within from the ever-pushing of socialist/communist ideas that come from the Obama administration.
Personally, I don't like being a fear monger and for me, there is
always hope but at the same time it is completely foolish not to look back at history and not understand that we could be headed for serious disaster. Bad things can and do happen. Millions have consistently been slaughtered in the name of socialism and communism. It would be foolish to think, "that can't happen here."
Of course, it wasn't enough to simply use it for medicinal purposes, now the state of CA is going to put on the ballot an initiative to make marijuana legal for recreational use.
On the November 2010 ballot, voters will be able to decide whether they would like to live in state of haze, only legally.
