The election is approaching and all I can think about is how the night is going to play out. As an eternal optimist, I feel Romney will win and I also have a feeling he's going to win big.
Romney was not my first choice in the primary. I actually was not initially impressed by him but as I have gotten to know more about him, I have grown to appreciate him as someone who I believe will not behave like a dictator but rather a leader, which we so desperately need right now in our country.

Judge Judy Health Scare
During a taping of Judge Judy, Justice Judith Sheindlin, started speaking incoherently and, finally said that she needed to stop.
"She was just sitting on the stand during her show taping and she started saying things that didn't make any sense," a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com, exclusively. She was rushed to the hospital and it is being reported that they were keeping her overnight.
"She said, 'I need to stop, I'm not feeling well.'"

I pray for Judge Judy and hope she is okay. I would hate for anything major to happen to her. She truly is an American treasure as far as I'm concerned. She's conservative and, she is very reasonable. She is also extremely respectful and is a great representation of the justice system. I absolutely love Judge Judy.

Gastric Bands - Targeting Teens
Click on title of this post for full article.
The long term benefits and safety of gastric bands still have yet to be determined but, it seems as though there is now a push to allow for teens, as young as 14, to be able to get the band.
A recent whistle blower, Dr. Neelu Pal, was fired from her job. She was calling patients and warning them of the dangers she had witnessed. She is claiming that there is a lack of aftercare provided, and she witnessed medical forms, prior to surgery, that were inaccurate or, incomplete. She has since filed a lawsuit.
With the problems and complications that already come with lap bands placed in adults, I am surprised to see a push for this procedure to be used on teens. There are a handful of teens that were given the band by discretion of their doctors.

In more than one in five teens in another study, Inge noted a high rate of "symmetric pouch dilation" -- a complication in which the small pouch created at the top of the stomach by the band gets bigger, allowing patients to consume more food.Although, the procedure is considered to be relatively safe, I'm not convinced this is the best way for anyone to lose weight.
