It is now being revealed that al Qaida is on the brink of obtaining and using nuclear weapons. I'm not sure this is much of a shocker.
Al-Qaida is on the verge of producing radioactive weapons after sourcing nuclear material and recruiting rogue scientists to build "dirty" bombs, according to leaked diplomatic documents.

A leading atomic regulator has privately warned that the world stands on the brink of a "nuclear 9/11".

Security briefings suggest that jihadi groups are also close to producing "workable and efficient" biological and chemical weapons that could kill thousands if unleashed in attacks on the West.

Thousands of classified American cables obtained by the WikiLeaks website and passed to The Daily Telegraph detail the international struggle to stop the spread of weapons-grade nuclear, chemical and biological material around the globe.

Al Qaeda Promises U.S. Deaths

Printer bombs planted on two cargo flights last month cost only a few thousand dollars and were intended to affect the American economy, according to a newly published Al Qaeda-affiliated magazine.

The attempt was called "Operation Hemorrhage," boasted the magazine, and the entire plot cost al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, or AQAP, only $4,200.

Yesterday, a special edition of Inspire magazine -- an English-language propaganda publication produced by AQAP -- gave a detailed description of how the attempted attack was conceived and produced.

"Two Nokia mobiles, $150 each, two HP printers, $300 each, plus shipping, transportation and other miscellaneous expenses add up to a total bill of $4,200," one article said.  "That is all that Operation Hemorrhage cost us. In terms of time, it took us three months to plan and execute the operation from beginning to end."

The magazine also revealed the attack was not meant to kill more than the plane's pilot and co-pilot, and was meant to force the U.S. government to spend billions of dollars on preventive security screening measures.

The strategy, the magazine said, was  "of attacking the enemy with smaller, but more frequent operations is what some may refer to as the strategy of a thousand cuts. The aim is to bleed the enemy to death."

Iraqi Lt Gen Babaker Zebari Warns US Not to Pull Out of Iraq in 2011

Obama has announced his plans for our troops to be out of Iraq by August of 2011 but, many have voiced their opinion that leaving that soon would be dangerous for Iraq.

Lt Gen Babaker Zebari, an Iraqi General, as well as Minister Tariq Aziz, who was Saddam Hussein's Foreign Minister, have both expressed their concerns over the US pulling out so soon.

This is exactly the mistake Bush I made. He pulled out, didn't finish the job, and as a consequence, left a bad taste of the Western world in Iraqi's mouths. Us pulling out will not only make that area a playing ground for al-Qaida, but it will also increase the hostility the people have toward the US for bailing out on them again.

Gen Zebari told a defence conference in Baghdad that the Iraqi army would not be able to ensure the country's security until 2020 and that the US should keep its troops in Iraq until then.

"At this point, the withdrawal [of US forces] is going well, because they are still here, but the problem will start after 2011," he said.

"The politicians must find other ways to fill the void after 2011... If I were asked about the withdrawal, I would say to politicians: the US army must stay until the Iraqi army is fully ready in 2020."

There are those that say it wouldn't matter when we pulled out, there will always be problems associated with such action and, that the people of Iraq are going to have to step up and, take this over themselves.

Thoughts? Should the US pull out completely by next year? Should the US have announced this move to the world? I don't think it was wise for Obama to announce what our military plans are to the world. Is he concerned about protecting us and the Iraqis? Or, is it all about him trying to get himself and fellow democrats votes?

American Member of al-Qaida - Who is He?

Pakistani officials had originally picked up a member of al-Qaida and, said he was from America. Later, they identified him as Abu Yahya Majadin Adam, with no further information.

The man is suspected to actually be, Adam Gadahn, an American that had been charged with treason and, has been on the FBI's most wanted list. Abu Yahya Majadin Adam has been identified as his alias.

You can read the full story here.

Adam Gadahn was seen on several al-Qaida videos taunting the US.

"The resemblance of the name initially caused confusion but now they have concluded he is not Gadahn," said an intelligence officer, who like all Pakistani intelligence agents does not allow his name to be used. "He feels proud to be a member of al-Qaida."

Okay. This is quite odd. They know this man, Adam Gadahn, looks like the man that has been arrested, wants the destruction of the West, and they have identified the name Abu Yahya Majadin Adam as his alias yet, they are saying the man they detained is not Gadahn?

Well, who is he?
